3 or those 10 suggestions are TE’s. At least I’m not alone in Crazytown…

I was dead set against a TE at 17 or 32. Ive always said pick 49 is the earliest they should look at TE.

Those are three good TE’s so I won’t break my TV if they use pick 49 for one of them.

I’d actually visit this bard more often but the back/forth nonsense keeps me away and I’m sure many others.

With solid corners still on the board, do we go Branch (Top Safety) and then hope JPJ, Cam Smith, or Kalee Ringo fall to our next pick? Steelers were doing their due diligence on Ringo who is just as big and faster then JPJ. However reports say he is stiff in the hips which isn't ideal for a CB. I'm curious why JPJ fell aswell and why Deonte Banks was chosen over him?

Will you feel better if we take Cam Smith in the 2nd round?

Actually in hindsight it was Metaman who affectionately used curmudgeon

    And I’m not necessarily disagreeing

    curmudgeon
    /kəˈmʌdʒ(ə)n/

    noun

It’s not just reports about Ringo’s hips. It’s right there on film. He gave up something like nearly 500 yards receiving into his coverage last season. Just say NO to Ringo unless we’re going full on zone on the back end for some reason.

Vegas would be for 109 pick.... 6 picks back

Atlanta would probably be a 4th, swap thirds, and next years 4th..... however that's 12 picks later.

Tennessee would be something similar to Atlanta..... but 9 picks back

Chicago would probably be their 60th and 53.

I really like porter and think he would do great here. But it's not an omg fall off from CB into three rest of the second. And if we could have 3 picks in the second, would result in just taking BPA and hopefully getting 2 of 3 who work out.

My dumbass sister-in-law was wrong. She calls me a curmudgeon. I'm not even close to bad tempered but am old and only miserable when she is around.

I don't know . You're not in this position many times and hopefully you're not again unless it's by a trade. I think you take your best guy on your board. I mean every pick is a dart throw so maybe throw your best dart first instead of hoping to get more chances to throw more darts?

If it would be up to me,it would take a huge offer to trade down.....A fourth round pick is far to be enough for me

Not really, arguably the needed presence in our D is consistent edge play. When TJ or Alex are off the field it matters, see our record when TJ was injured. Yes we have 2 starters THIS year, they will do all they can to re-sign Alex, but that just might be more than we can do..he is going to be that sought after. Yes we have needs this year, but the draft is primarily building long term.

You guys act like Porter Jr is the only CB left, the smart move is to trade down I don't care who is on the board, they would be without a pick for three straight rounds if they keep the pick at #32.

Vegas alos has the 70, 100, and 109 pick....I like the sound if 70, but 100 might do it.

The last good draft pick by the steelers in the fourth round was Martavis Bryant in 2014....So I want more that a fourth round pick to trade down

He is a general DB who is best suited for a safety. The fact that he is one of the top corners in the draft is amazing. He is a great player but a safety in the NFL.

I suck at darts. No doubt I love JPj, but at this point I throw the point system out and see how desperate other teams are. Hell as I just posted the raiders have 70, 100, and 109. We needed to get rid of Ab, but still pi$$ed we only got a 3rd and 5th. If the Raiders want 32, let them offer their best shot...we do not have to do anything, lol.

Oh yea, we get the 37 as well, lol

The ONLY trade is a 1st round pick in 2024, anything else for pick 32 is ridiculous. Stop this nonsense about “more picks in later rounds”. You got a great Tackle, take the best talented Corner at #32 and best player at #49. Three future starters vs more picks, ridiculous!

A few weeks ago I had suggested that he could be a good safety conversion, but a player has to be willing, and I’m not sure whether he’d be willing to make the conversion right away. I also think he could be effective covering a deep 3rd in Cover 3 or the flat area and sideline as a Cover 2 zone corner. That may be a better fit.

Either way, he’s not on my radar for the 2nd round at all.
