Draft day is finally here :herewego!:

    MOD EDIT:

Excuse me SteelersRule6, want to expand on the no spoilers.

No spoilers simply means no announcing of pics before it is announced on TV. So if you are on NFL.com or some other website, you’ll get the pic before the TV audience, don’t spoil it by posting the selection here.

That is all. Enjoy the draft!

I will have a meltdown similar to '97 when Woodson left, if Steelers take a QB at 20 or worse... trade up, lose draft picks and get one.

Davis will be gone before 20. I just hope all this Willis to Steelers is one huge smoke screen.

Not disappointed. 9 hours before the draft, and already people are bitching about the pick.

You got the thread started early. I'll be on tonight at 8pm when it starts.

Should be a crazy 1st round. There isn't a lot of cut in stone choices, it can really go a lot of directions.

The biggest thing will be will anybody value the QBs as high to mid 1st round talents or not.

I am really hoping this is our pick in the 3rd. Meaning we didn't pick a QB in the 1st or 2nd.

That would be epically dumb. I'd rank that one up there with Browns drafting Manziel.

This is a horrible draft that will set the franchise back for decades! You could see that Colbert was just phoning it in because he has already retired! Sorry just wanted to get ahead of the crowd who will be saying these very words at the end of Saturday.

While everyone is waiting with bad...er... baited breath, here's something to pass your time today. CBS Sports rated the top 5 picks at each overall pick order from #32 down to #1 . The Steelers are well represented in this list, albeit very few as the list approaches the higher overall picks since that is fortunately rarefied air for the Steelers since the early 70's. A few of the best picks later came to the Steelers in trades - e.g. the Bus and John Henry Johnson.

Let's pray He doesn't do any such thing. I don't have 2 want who they pick, but I do want whomever they pick 2 turn out great.
Example: I didn't want a RB in the 1st last year, but I never complained once....after He was picked, and I'm actually glad they got Him.....even though I wanted a CB in the 1st.

I had no problem with the Harris pick last year. Steelers still need a viable backup for Harris at RB. Hopefully we can get one later in the draft and cut away the dead wood we have at RB currently.
