Well that's the front 7 on D sorted in this draft. Will Mitchell get him ready to play this season though? Solid pick.

Yeah, it does. Not so sure how high his ceiling is as compared to some of the WR's out there, but it's a good value pick. I liked Nix more, but I'm down with it. Could've reached for a CB, but I don't think any had that high of value at #46.

Love how all the talking heads had us picking WR/CB...total fail. You guys know the players much better than I, but I like the position...need to build the D line

I'll take it. There were about a dozen or more guys I would have liked there, and Tuitt was in that mix. Now comes the LONG wait to 97

Would have much rather had Nix but happy with Tuitt. Guess we just have to suck it up and go another year without making the playoffs due to lack of coverage in the secondary. We failed to get one in the first round and now there are none left because other teams realize how important they are. Glad they didn't try to reach for a DB in the second i guess.

    Its a defensive makeover!

When Tuitt is on, he is a BEAST. I probably would have leaned towards Nix over Tuitt, but I'm not gonna complain. Once Matthews went off the board, I was torn on which WR to root for, Robinson or Moncrief.

Still looking for a WR and a CB haha, once is going to be pushed to the back burner. Maybe they are happy with the WR corps, because we definitely a CB or two. KC must REALLY believe how deep the WR and CBs are this year!

    WELCOME TUITT!:herewego:

Yeah Mac, the only reason I'm slightly down on this pick is the presence of Arnfelt and even Williams. Still, he seems like a good football guy and should help out our team.

    I'm thinking no Keisel.

    Checking in with some thoughts-

I liked Nix too, but Tuitt is going to be on the field more so it's a better value there.

The Steelers need good, young active defensive players who can make plays,
regardless of position. They needed a better ILB than Vince Williams,
    that's for sure.

I realize and agree corner is a need. However, once the first 2 were off
the board, I think the Steelers- as did a bunch of other teams, passed on
Dennard because maybe they don't really like him at #1. Here's the thing
about CB in today's NFL- the rules are so totally stacked against that
position, that unless the guy available is a rare talent, they aren't
really going to make a noticeable impact over the next guy you put out
    there.

I hope it's quicker than the time they took to get Heyward on the field.

Defense cannot survive without coverage and and turnovers. Front seven can only do their job when the QB has the ball in his hands for the most part. Too late now though no other CBs in this draft that can replace the talentless group we already have.

No CBs worth taking at 46. Value to be had at CB in mid rounds. And Cortez still could be good...I wouldn't write him off.
