do you honestly think with how they drafted over the last few years that they will actually pick a secondary anytime soon? if they weren't going to do it here, they're not doing it in the next two rounds. they'll likely take a tackle and receiver. then they'll eventually settle for some middling secondary guy who won't ever make the roster.

this was a position they needed to address seriously for once, and they blew it. i'd rather they build depth where they need it instead of taking shiny toys that they don't need.

1st- respect for renaming the draft room.

2nd- wow, a freaking amazing athlete at ILB, that we've been dreaming of drafting for the last few years, and the wailing and gnashing of teeth begins. Love you guys, but some of you really have to invest in prozac.

Let's see I'm betting that Mosely goes to the Ravens even if Shazier was still there. Stop trying to project players into different positions at high draft picks! Frustrating at the very least.

So sick of hearing this. There is no scheme in today's NFL that can disregard Cornerbacks. It is just absurd to even say that. We make absolutely no turnovers, no interceptions and we always let teams dink and dunk on us by allowing QBs to throw the ball immediately because we have no solid coverage. When a passing play is actually disrupted when one of our front seven essentially gets lucky and gets there in time, we have NO ONE to intercept it.

Why are people having such a hard time realizing how important talented CBs are? Especially when we have absolutely no depth at that position. Obviously Kevin Colberts draft strategy hasn't been working out as of late, you would think they would finally address the corner position that has been neglected since Ike Taylor was picked up.

need a CB and a tall WR...
and with the 15th pick the steelers pick.. a undersized fast little LBer.... by mid season we might be calling the last two 8-8 years "the good old days"... maybe they never heard of FILLING A NEED . as our pick sure wasnt best available player?

why does it have to be a 1st rounder? what does that matter? I watched bama play mosley outside all the time but he will play inside at Baltimore. if he can play, he can play

Honestly I'd have been happier with Zack Martin at LG for the next ten years. I just can't believe WE made the only major reach in the first round so far. That's something other teams do not the Steelers. Then the Ravens get Mosely? This is a nightmare. Ugh...deep breaths...deep breaths

Geez guys. A) Shazier will play inside. Inside. B) The draft isn't over. That was just the first round. C) They'll take a corner. D)The'll take a WR. E)Mosley has durability issues and isn't nearly as fast or versatile as Shazier. F) CB/WR is stupid deep this year. ILB is the opposite. H) ILB was a position of need.

This is the thing. Shazier didn't appear to be on anyone's radar. NFL network had no tape of him ready to go. Was he even invited to New York?

So why not trade down and take him later?

    Oh, well.

Not the same undersized. Harrison was shorter and built like a bulldog. He was able to get leverage and go at them. Shazier is 6'2" to get the angles Harrison did he's got to go a lot lower.

Not from the film I watched. Definitely a stay-on-the-field backer.
