at least they are doing enough to score points, even if only FGs.

that's more that can be said about the DLine :frustrated:

Yeah, there should be one of these for the D, the offense looks pretty good to me.

These types of threads are pathetic. I know I don't speak for everyone but it's difficult understand how Steelers fans can consider themselves as the best fans in sports with this kind of negativity. People should be ashamed of themselves for giving up on these players and team.

Passion has nothing to do with this kind of negativity. Better to have hope when things are looking good then to trash the team. Some folks haven't learned that it's a 60 minute game.

    A) I don't consider Steeler fans the best in the sports

    and

    B) it's not negativity, it's a simple observation of a fact.

The offensive line cannot run block. Period. Do you disagree? And their pass blocking leaves a lot to be desired. Again do you disagree?

Re: The Offensive Complaint Thread Wk. 2

There may be a misunderstanding here. The thread was about the offensive line being abysmal, but it was changed to a general offense complaint thread. It was done to prevent the 100 similar threads that pop up when we aren't playing well. Bobby didn't create the general offensive complaint thread.

I think we need Mendenhall's speed to the edge.

Maybe it's just me, but does this post strike anyone else as hypocritical. Complaining about someone else complaining. I am literally LMAO!

And yes, our OL is pathetic. Would love to hear someone make a compelling argument that the OL isnt stinking up the joint. And that my friend, has been a constant complaint for the past 4 years.

If we had any other quarterback we would have gave up 6 sacks at least.

Our running game is abysmal. We run more, but as it stands we're actually less effective.

OTOH it worked a lot better towards the end when the Jets started to get tired and our RBs (thanks to having 4 of them lol) were fresh. Kinda like FWP in the 08 playoff game against the Chokers where the YPCarry where lousy at the start of the game but improved towards the end when the D got tired.

Only thing i missed (running game related) was more PA passes on 1st down, it seemed to me that every play on 1st down was a run (except that TD to Heath where the Jets totally bit on it) so a pass or two would have been awesome there.

    A) What??!! Steelers fans are the most passionate fans anywhere. We bond with the players, get more emotional than anyone on earth - win or loss - and can say that we've been through the worst and the best. I can't think of any other sports team - in any other city that has fans like we do. I know - your opinion is your opinion, but this is one that I would definitely disagree with.

    and

    B) Observations of fact are not made with judgement statements. Observations of fact simply state what can be seen with the eyes and written down in stats. I admit I don't read enough of your posts to make a determination here. I'm just making sure that what you are stating is TRULY that all you do is observe facts.

GREAT WIN on both sides of the ball today, STEELERS! HERE WE GO!!

I would someday like to live to hear the Steelers offensive line to once again be called something better than "makeshift".
As much as we may hate to admit it, they need Mendy back.

Still the time of possession is huge, and I believe things are going to get better.

The Oline needs improvement, but it looked better than last week. I agree, the TOP is great. I believe we'll see improvement each week as the offense gets the kinks worked out.

    *Changed thread title

Just trying to keep you guessing. I'm gonna give you a chance to get comfortable with this title before I change it to something completely unrelated. I'm thinking, 'How's Dwyer's foot?' :lolol:

I think Haley is calling like a High School Coach....Don't get me wrong not that he is calling Dumb ,I just think we still have a lot of great plays in the bag...I think Haley knows this OL needs time to gel and there is no reason to show your best stuff in the games until they do....

For 2 weeks in a row our running game has not really took off,but the positives are Dwyer and Redman are running hard and the tape shows if they get a crease they will punish the D.....I have no doubt the holes are coming and by then Mendenhall will be back...At which time we will have 3 NFL starter capable RB'S and a more polished passing game....All 3 guys are starter capable each brings a little something different to the table ,but all can be very effective with decent blocking....

Of course I still believe that Redman will be the most effective once the Lanes are there,I also think that Redman's style will prove better in the Bad weather and after the season starts wearing on the Defenses....Anyway it is great to know we have 3 above average runners waiting on this OL to Gel...

Time of Possession is great! The only problem is we have to score more than field goals to make it worth it. Also our D needs to get off the field to give us the ball back to keep on milking that clock. But again, without TDs it's not gonna really work to our benefit. I will also say this. When AB made that catch and got ROCKED but held on and started yelling at the crowd and was all pumped I was off the couch that got me so fired up! I LOVE him! I also like the fact that he will follow his blockers as he did on a 1st down today. He's just a disciplined player all the way around.
