The odds aren't in McCarthy's favor of finding and developing a QB

Shough had the same team last year and he played a little bit better.

I guess we will just have to find out from preseason games.

    Come on
    Offense had returning players
They were healthier than the previous season

I actually have some admiration for Browns fans. Their team perpetually sucks but they still support the team.

I can’t wait for this game to come and go so people have some actual film of these backups instead of just fantasizing about them.

Hoping one of them shows enough that we move on from AR and Mason next year or just draft another QB and let him take his lumps early and often.

AR has to be gone next year

Unless he takes a giant leap I do not see Howard here either

If they acquire a QB high in the draft I would see Mason gone

If they sign another old vet I see Mason being here

That's true but they are delusional and belligerent! At some point stupidity has to factor in to their choice to support that cluster flop!

I have often wondered how long I would have put up with it if I grew up a Browns fan?

I still have a “Save our Browns” sign in my basement from when they were moving to Baltimore

My wife said I thought you hated the Browns

I said I do but they are our team to hate

I've always said this, and I actually felt sorry for them when they took away their team. I thought it was an outrage. These guys pack the seats most of the time with a losing team, and then they take their team away. I was glad to see they got it back

Not as much as I whine now about Popcorn and the wasted years. Like the old Cinderella song goes....... "Don't know what ya got... 'til it's gone."

So You still whined. I will bet money now that Tomlin is gone You will whine now about something else. Its cool. Its just the nature of some people.
Just like I will be optimistic about whomever is coaching

And if I remember correctly he moved because he wanted a new stadium and the city said screw You

Then to get a new team they built a new stadium

    WTF

I'm glad we have McCarthy now. He wasn't my first choice, but I am more optimistic now... than I've been in 3 years, when we drafted Pickett. I hope McCarthy as a coach turns out much better for Steelers than Pickett did as a QB. Also...just wish Steelers would have made the change at HC years ago, instead of wallowing in the mud of mediocrity with Tomlin and his sub-par coordinators.
