Sure, Jeremy Hill fumbled the ball to allow the Steelers the opportunity to come back and win the game. But why aren't we hearing anything about the TREMENDOUS PLAY THAT RYAN SHAZIER MADE TO FORCE THE FUMBLE?! In fact, Shazier was an absolute beast for that entire game and he easily gets my game ball. To hear all of the analysts talk about the fumble you'd think it was a totally unforced error. I even read one article in which the writer suggested that rain may have caused the fumble. Did he even watch the play?

Read my lips all you so-called "experts" out there. RYAN SHAZIER MADE ONE HECKUVA PLAY TO FORCE THAT FUMBLE AND GET THE STEELERS BACK IN THE GAME. He ripped the ball loose and resurrected the Steelers hopes, period. He forced another fumble earlier in the game with the vicious hit on Bernard and should have had a touchdown to go with it. He was a tackling machine, had a couple of key pass defense plays and almost had an interception. But all we're hearing about is how Hill fumbled and the Bungles imploded.

Can you idiots give Shazier a little love this morning???

Shazier can be a top 3 player in this league on defense. No doubt he is the best defensive player on this team. Dude is a beast. I think i'm gonna go pick up his jersey here real soon, which is pretty rare for me. I've only owned a Kirkland, Bettis, and AB jersey.

Or that acrobatic catch by MB! All they are talking about is the ending with the penalties.

Tierney from Tiki and Tierney was sticking up for Bengals today... Can't believe it!

Also my one friend said he was disappointed in the Steelers coaches in that game...

Were we watching the same game?

This. He looks very weird when he runs, but he's coming into his own (hopefully he keeps it up).

This is what happens when you get these so-called "journalists" writing copy when they probably didn't even see the game, and are most likely playing off content from other valid writers.

IMO Mb's spectacular catch wasn't a catch. He never fully maintained possession with 2 feet in.

Spot on, Jack but not only that, they also aren't vilifying Burfict but praising his play on taking out Ben and AB plus had the "game winning" interception. That he is a dirty player and that his hit on AB is what does, like that makes it ok! No mention of Burfict driving his knee into Bens shoulder by the way. They are saying Burfict won them that game if Hill doesn't fumble. Yeah, but unfortunately for the dirtbag, the game is 60 minutes! He didn't win them the game he cost them the game.

You probably think that the Immaculate Reception wasn't a legal catch too, don't ya? ;)

It's like some of you guys aren't happy unless there's an us vs them mentality. I've heard tons of talk about Burfict being dirty and about Shazier playing lights out.

There's obviously going to be a lot of talk about the very end because it was a very crazy end to the game. A fumble is a normal football play, what happened at the end doesn't happen every week.

But I've heard tons and tons of talk about how stupid Burfict and pacman were

I guess we're listening to different things, Shaner. The majority of the talk is how the Bengals blew it at the end, and they certainly did. But to me the narrative should be A TALE OF TWO LINEBACKERS! One in Burfict who cost his team the game and the other in Shazier who put his team on his back and helped to win the game. And he did it the right way, by letting his play on the field do his talking! That's all I'm saying. I'm sick and tired of hearing about the criminal. Let's hear about the good guy in the Black and Gold playing the same position that does things the right way!

Don't know who you're listening to, but that's what I've heard repeatedly here in Atlanta. Shazier made a tremendous play yada yada yada. With that being said they also keep bringing up his hit on Bernard

you don't understand the rule of what is a catch.

BY rules... that was a catch... and so was the catch Brown had that was taken away when we lost to the Ravens. I believe a league official confirmed it.

The rule basically says you have to control the ball through the end of the "play". In this case the end was when a part of his body touched the ground out of bounds. He caught the ball in the endzone and had control......he then bobbled it when he was in the air flipping, and regained control before he actually landed out of bounds. So it was a catch. Same thing basically happened with Brown against the Ravens..but we got screwed on that one.

sorry I didn't know that. I always thought you had to maintain the ball with both feet in. Didn't know it applied to outside as well. My bad

One narrative that I would like to see brought up is referee's blowing plays dead too damn early. Pittsburgh could have had another TD on that fumble if it weren't for the whistle. They have replay on turnovers/scores so swallow the whistle and let things play out. It can be fixed later. It cases of fumbles, let it play out and then determine later if it truly was a fumble or if the runner was down. Too often they call someone down that wasn't and then can't determine who would have clearly recovered the ball. It's not necessary.

Shazier was awseome. NFL network actually gave him credit about how awesome that strip was.

The game is totally over shadowed by the fact the Bengals blew it by being stupid thugs. That's news worthy so I understand it. What happened was insane.

Burfict was going crazy and we couldn't stop him. He was hitting Ben, picking off passes, knocking out wr's, trying to hurt OL players. What sucked is we let him hit Ben. That shouldn't have happened. We allowed the Bengals to stay in this game. IMO it was another example of Tomlin not being able to put away teams in big games. If you let any team hang around you will set your self up for losing. The Ravens games are perfect examples. Our defense played out of it's mind. The offense struggled again... that's 3 or 4 games in a row were our offense is totally out of sync. The missed 2 point conversion didn't matter but it kept them in it. That stop is a momentum swing. Tomlin has no understanding of momentum. If he did he wouldn't do sh## like that. It very well could have cost us the game.

Ben's injury should have won the game for the Bengals. That was Burficts intention.. He knew it..that's why he landed on him with his body weight (wich is illegal btw) and kneed him in the shoulder while trying to punch the ball out. Once Ben came back in Burfict decided to take out Brown thinking that would end the game for us.

Props should go to our running backs, WR's, and LB's. They played an awesome game... probably the best defensive performance this year. They could not run the ball which was huge.

What was lost was just how stupid that play call was when Ben got hurt. it was 3rd and 18. we had the lead. dropping Ben back near the endzone on an obvious blitz is just stupid. If there was a time for a screen or delayed hand off that was it. I blame the coaches for that injury.
