This did not age well. Dude led the team to Super Bowl victory. He led them back there two years later. He has been a far more successful head coach than Ken Whisenhunt, one of the guys they passed on to hire Tomlin. The other was Russ Grimm, who never got an NFL head coaching job. If you want to argue that they have stuck with Tomlin too long, that's fair, but there is no question they hired the right guy to replace Cowher. None.

My gripe is Steelers have stuck with Tomlin about 8 years too long. Tomlin was the right coach at the right time for the Steelers franchise in 2007-2018.... but it's time to move on.

They made their breaks. Wilson made a good break on the ball for the interception. Watt did a great job creating the strip sack. He isn't doubled every single play in any game. Tomlin isn't wrong when he says that matchups make fights. The Steelers match up better with the Colts than they did with the Bengals or Packers. Getting Dugger also helped because their safety play against the Packers was a disgrace.

I started calling for them to fire Tomlin late in the 2018 season. He has done some terrible long-time work and strong short-term work since then. The overall building of the roster has not been good and you have to put some of that on him. The work he has done with some of these teams with relatively weak rosters, however, has been impressive. Unfortunately, that approach isn't going to help them win a Super Bowl.

Why would you bring in the backup quarterback there? You want the starter out there protecting the ball and making good decisions.

They weren't really running a play at all

Why AR held the ball he was never going to throw a pass.
He actually got banged up by his own player
    go watch the play again.
    Game was locked up

I saw the play. If someone flashed open for an easy completion early, I think he would have thrown it, but the likely outcome was always going to be a sack.

The Steelers are in first place in their division with a winning record they weren't a trap game for the Colts . Seattle got two lucky breaks when they beat the Steelers see how that works.

Not sure if this should go here or not, but the call by Smith to kick OOB on the kickoff was some really nice coaching IMO.

It seems usually when we talk about ST and rules, it's bad (e.g. K Johnson return). But this was a smart decision.
