RIGHT! That is the other thing he gets stuck on. Defensive head coaches. Can't get the Oline right. On and on. Let hope all this lands in Where Colin Was Wrong!

Let me guess, you don't value Nick Wright's opinions?

Judging by the preseason games, Tomlin and Khan have fixed the O-line. Barring any major injuries... Steelers should have one of the best OLs in the NFL.

I agree Cowherd has given the Steelers mention quite a bit this summer, I listen because the boss is cheap and it's the only sports radio in the area I can get. What drives me nuts is his hard on for Labron and the Lakers. I get that he is in LA, but he is a national show and except for the covid year the Lakers have sucked for the past 10 or more years. Then again the love media has for losers (Cowboys, Lakers, Yankees) is criminal, lol.

Given that I don't even remember hearing one until he talked up the Steelers last week, I don't have a strong opinion either way. It would depend on how he supported his opinions. Cowherd, on the other hand, is a proven idiot and flip-flopper.

So you believe that mahomes puts up the same numbers no matter the team? If he had been with Carolina the last five years are you thinking about him in the same way?

But he wasn't, so baseless speculation. Bradshaw, Montana, played for the teams that won SB's. You can try and argue that their success would not have been the same on different teams, but it is a moot point because they were not on those other teams. You bloom where you are planted, in a short time he has went to 3 SB's and his team won 2. That's already HOF area and the dude is only 28. Amazes me that some just cannot accept the guy is that good, and heading to legendary status.

I disagree. The biggest difference is the coaching staff. People forget the NFL is a coaches league AND a QB league. It's not a coincidence that some coaches win more consistently. Give a good coach a QB and they're SB contenders. Give an avg coach a good QB and they might make the playoffs most seasons. I think we are comparing an AVG coach in Tomlin with a great coach in Reid. Reid has a great QB Tomlin has had avg QB's for a while. Back when Tomlin's QB was Ben in his prime we were pretty good but couldn't win the big games. It's been a very long time since Tomlin has won in the post season. He needs a loaded team to compete.

QB is the most important people in a team.Head coach is second. The chiefs were a playoffs team under Andy Reid before the Mahomes era but they could not win in the playoffs. With Mahomes, they have been in the AFC title game every year since 2018 and they make 3 SB,winning 2

Why does EVERYONE say Khan, Khan,Khan ..And never any mention of Weidl! They are CO GM's, and Weidls calling card is in how he values prioritizing the Lines, and the lines have been improved immensely but... Nobody ever says Weidl... It's " Khan artist " or not stop blathering of how he's pilfering every team! There's TWO of them, How come only one ever gets mentioned?

Said it before, Will say it again...This team is loaded imo... Offensive weapons galore, Good OL and DL, LB's and now Secondary..and depth also!

The 2 that will make or break this team, are the 2 most important, and I'm not sold on either one...Tomlin and Pickett

If.....The season is a failure, I can about guarantee you...It will because of these 2

How many Super Bowls did Andy Reid win with out Patrick Mahomes?

Seriously, the Tomlin hate is fierce in your post.

Uh, who the hell is Sam Acho?

    Anyway, another loudmouth, at least he is Pittsburgh's loudmouth, had this to say about sports debate programs;

Mark Madden: Loud, watered down TV sports debate shows are expiring | TribLIVE.com

Maddens show isn't necessarily a sports debate show. It is mostly him yelling at callers, talking about annoying topics like European soccer or concerts he goes to and continually reminding everyone that he has a tested 166 IQ. He does have good guests and conducts very good interviews. Plus, I'd rather listen to his b.s. than Filipponi and Muller on The Fan He's kind of hypocritical with this article but he is also correct.

The power of the quarterback is real.

How many Super Bowls did Cowher win without Ben?

How many Super Bowls did Tomlin win without Ben?

How many Super Bowls did Chuck Noll with without Terry?

It matters more than anything else. Sure, sometimes teams are able to do it another way, but for the most part Super Bowl winning teams are quarterbacked by great quarterbacks. They provide answers to athletic challenges on the field that others can't. They are difference makers.

Joe Gibbs won the Super Bowl with 3 different mediocre QBs.

I know that others have won without a great quarterback and said so in my post. It is not the norm.

By the way. Joe Theisman was not a mediocre quarterback. He was a very good player.
