Premise 1 is just flat out false, "Tomlin couldnt win playoff games". The guy literally won a Superbowl and went to another one, how do you think he got there? Tomlin has been in 19 playoff games and has won 8 of them, its not the greatest record but people try to paint a picture of a coach who just couldnt win in the playoffs and it just doesnt lineup with reality.

I appreciate the input, and I really appreciate the fact that the majority of people probably agree regarding tomlin.

Just because you disagree with the facts doesn't make them opinion, they are very simple facts.

Think he already stamped down on the accelerator before he left and thats why they let him go. Throwing furniture off a balcony where you could kill somebody is pretty cuckoo. Had they somehow kept him around, his flameout would have been just as spectacular here, I dont think there was any stopping that.

What did Claypool do in Chicago besides suck? Dont remember any acting out there.

DJ, again they let him go because they knew he was a head case who couldnt be controlled. I mean the guy was walking away from live balls, getting into fights with the QB and coaches. Doesn’t sound like there was any midas touch going on there with him.

I just think Tomlins ability to control players was being greatly exaggerated and in reality was just letting players do what they want.

I think MT expected team leaders to do much of the talking to the headcases. That might work with low-level players but probably not as well with superstars.
