The end of the Will Robertson era in Pirates history

After less than two months, and as quietly as a single flap of a butterfly’s wings, the Will Robertson era of Pirates baseball was over. He has been claimed off waivers by the Baltimore Orioles.
He never suited up for the Pirates, not even for a farm team.
I would think they had to clear a roster spot for some of the bounty obtained in the Ovideo deal with the Crimson Hose.
We have been cheated of the chance to see yet another middling AAAA outfielder with low OPS and negative WAR patrol the outfield.

And most sadly of all, we never got the chance to go to PNC Park and yell “Danger Will Robertson!”
