After watching "America's Game - The 2008 Steeler" I can't help reminiscing about how Ben scrambled in that game and the plays he was able to make behind that patchwork OL. Not just your normal scrambling QB, but his size and physicality is what made him who he was. Unfortunately, he no longer has that scrambling ability and every OC has tried to turn him into a pocket passer. I think trying to change his style has hurt Ben.

Now Brady has been a pocket passer his whole career. That is what helped him extend his career. Can't argue that Brady is probably one of the most cerebral QBs to play the game. Would Brady have had the same success in Pittsburgh? I don't think he would have. His play was not our style of offense.

Ben is a glory hound, like his bff Antonio Brown. Biggest difference imo. Not saying it's bad but definitely has hurt the team at times.

The big difference is one gets kissed by his son in the lips and says “lol that was just a peck!”

Brady worked infinitely harder. He would have done better than Big Dumb here there or anywhere. Brady is also smarter.

Put Brady on the Steelers with some of our defenses, and I suspect we might be thinking one for the toe.

Yes, not a bad thing at times. I mean, I want a QB who wants the ball in his hands when the game is on the line. Aside from his scrambling ability being less than it was, I think Ben still plays on what he was once able to do. Like Toby Keith says "I ain't as good as I once was." Also, "My body says no, but my pride says, Oh yes you can!" Which we all have to come to the realization of the last line for ourselves. These weekend warrior injuries start piling up.

One of the big things I wanna see is just a new mindset at QB. Even if it takes us several QBs, hopefully not too many. I want to be excited for the offense again.

True yes. But I mean how can't he? He's messed up league parity completely and will not go away.

Well You know how We stick with our 1st round picks even if they suck trying 2 prove a point.
So If our newly drafted Qb sucks You will have 2 stick with that for at least 5 Years.

The difference between Ben and brady, is that brady grew in an offense that perfected the dink and dunk. Certainly he can make all of the throws, but the offense the Patriots ran all those years would make virtually any competent qb look good. What were they without brady, something like 13-5. He is the most overrated player ever. Although mahomes and jackson are off to a good start to catching him.

Most overrated? Look I can't stand the guy. But he went to a completely different franchise and won a championship in the first year. Nobody else is doing that.

When I say "overrated", I mean, what has he done as an individual at his position, that hasn't been done before? Brees, Rodgers, Marino, Favre and more, I believe are his equals.

The dink and dunk is a bunch of pre snap and the QB has to know the who..He also needs pin point ball placement to protect his guys and give them the ability for YAC whatever is needed...He builds that trust with those guys they know he is not going to lead them wrong most of the time, this allows his WR'S to play all out and not cringe or have alligator arms or run a route at half spped looking for where the big hitter is,,,

I do not like Brady as a player probably mainly jealousy ,but I respect his play and it is top notch and as the OP stated,it is no fluke..

Brady was protected his entire career, They also had offensive sheam
of getting ball out quickly so he never got hit.. Tom also was proactive to take care
of his body long before this was popular.

Sure he did, but given Tampa's recent history, there was no guarantee it was gonna work by any means.

Ben was much more of a natural athlete in his prime. Couldn't be tackled, great arm strength. He's lost that now, and never worked on the other parts of his game, so he's a husk.

Tom Brady has always been about outworking, outcompeting, and out preparing everyone else. He's really an average Joe physically.
