The Defense Since Week 11

We've had the 2nd best secondary in the league since week 11...and more:

While the Pittsburgh Steelers' three "Bs" on offense swallow all the tv attention, it's been the defense that has been the catalyst for the current nine-game win streak.

Over the past nine games Pittsburgh has allowed 16.6 points per game, 287.4 yards per game and 31 sacks. In those nine week's Keith Butler's defense ranks first in the NFL in sacks per game, second in yards per play allowed, second in passing yards per game, third in total yards per game and third in points per game.

I hope Brady tries to pick on Burns and Davis those are the best 2 DB'S we have...

 

I hope Brady tries to pick his nose - that's when he will become the prime ingredient of a 48/92 hoagie (slathered with Heinz condiments of course).

 

I hope Brady feels so old after Sunday's game that he's ready to call it a career!

 

If those numbers held true for the entire year, what would our ranks be?

 

Gotta give Bell a little credit. If he wasn't chewing up clock and running 150 a game I'm not sure the defense would look as good!

 

That's most defenses. Cowboys were ranked #5 in ppg but we shredded them, then GB did as well. Their T.O.P is and scoring first helped their D

Our defense gonna give up points to pats. That's what elite offenses do. We just have to slow Brady down enough and keep our defense fresh with long drives.

While we played better offenses and qb's to boot.

No disrespect to New England, they have an elite offense and defense, just more consistent than ours

 

I think the defense has created a turnover in 12 straight games.

 

My hope is that just once one of the LB or safeties bait Brady into making one of his signature short throws and they jump yhe route and take the ball to the house. Some what like Micah Hyde did last week with out scoring. Just know what's coming and make an extraordinary football play.

This defense has been a major reason why we are here right now.


This is their biggest test by far. However, after showing they can do it thanks due in part to their "signature win" against the Cheifs, they are ready for New England.


Time to exorcise some Brady demons.

 

I hope Brady tries to pick himself up off of the ground over and over again.

 

I hope he does it 20 time but you know each time he will cry for a flag.

Only thing I'm not sure about is their defense. I happen to remember that Landry Jones had a pretty damn good day against them. Now we have Big Ben and I honestly believe we are perfectly capable of shredding them up and getting ourselves a lead. This will play right into our defense hand!
