Being in a good situation at the start matters big time too for young QBs

There is a lot more to just being athletic to play qb position. Teams need to make sure qb is mentally and intelligent enough, before they send them on field.

Everyone says that.....until they are the HC, or GM that is about to lose their jobs.

Easy for someone that's job is not on the line to say. The actual HCs , and , or Gms jobs that are on the line .....including all the other coaches on the team will tell You another thing. If they can win anyway they can win they will.

So again, who's fault is it foe everyone's job being on the line?!

    David. Tepper.

Me and you can continue to debate this topic endlessly. However, the evidence is already clear and has been so since the AFL/NFL Merger. A QB will only be as good as the Organization that drafts them; stability and structure.

    Carolina is neither.

I agree it has something to do with it, but not everything. Sometimes a Qb is just good, and sometimes a player is just bad,,but some of You greatly confuse what a player does in college....by what they can actually do in the NFL. It's actually funny. Burrows goes to a so called terrible situation.....so bad....many told him to hold out.....the very 1st year he plays without getting injured. Takes them to a SB.
The Texan you, and many said worst run football team in the NFL.....excuse.....that why Watson couldn't win there.....they draft CJ Stroud....instant success.....while Watson leaves, and still sucks.
The Steelers....struggle without a Qb from Terry Bradshaw all the way till....bam.....a real Qb Ben Roethlisberger......the Indianapolis Colts one of the worst franchises in a long time....draft P. Manning the whole culture changes for a very long time. I can do this all freaking day. Sometimes the players drafted just suck, and it doesn't matter who drafted them....they will suck.....T. Edmunds. Like I said ....I can do this all freaking day. History is on my side of this

My guy..... if the situation is terrible, 9 time out of 10 the QB is going to fail. You keep referring to exceptions to the rule. There are too many examples that prove the rule.

As I said before and will again; you believe in one thing and I believe in another. Let us end it at that. This is getting neither of us nowhere.

I'm not referring to exceptions. I'm giving facts, and You are making excuses. Like I said I can go all the way back in history of the NFL....all the way till today, and give You examples of where You are wrong. I can show You teams that were great... with the same Owners, GMs, and HCs, and they became terrible after their actually good, or Great Qbs left...and terrible organizations that became great once getting great Qbs....if it was only up to coaching, and ownership.....then why do the Patriots suck before Brady got there, and since Brady left???
Why did Miami become obsolete as soon a Marino left, and why would they need a Qb since Tua is hurt....just coach one up. Like I said....You are just making excuses for players you thought would be great in the NFL. Thats cool. I get it.....but like I said....I have so many examples....hell....history...of going against what You say . Yet every example I give ....which is somewhere around my 15th example....You keep saying are outliers. LoL How many examples must I give before You they count???

Why in God’s green earth did they pay Trevor all that money? Does he have a playoff win? These owners are all going to get together and stop this nonsense of overspending on these players.
Might not be today or tomorrow but it’s going to happen. Dak, $60 million a yr? Ridunkulous.

They could start getting better results by not paying these guys ridiculous amounts of money and eating up most of the cap. Take Joe Burrow and the Bengals for instance. Great QB making tons of money with a garbage defense.

You had me until you said Rich Young QBs ... I don't think there are any Rookies who consider themselves as rich until they sign that 2nd contract.

I would rather see a mistake with a player on his rookie deal, rather than a Desean Watson, Denver's Russell Wilson, and maybe even that $250 million dollar kid in Jacksonville .

Seems most of you don't know...

I am not an expert, nor do I play one on TV. But...

If a worthy QB has a decent to good Offensive Line AND a coordinator/QB coach that is worth his salt, THAT QB stands a chance.

NOW... it is up to the QB to become a worthy QB. The QB has a say in this. The QB can actually bring something to the conversation.(BigBen, Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady)

The future of QBs is NOT Lamar Jackson-esque. Not run first oriented at all. But more Mahomes/Steve Young, dare I say it, Justin Fields/Josh Allen?

I am glad the first round QB money has come back into realistic numbers. NOW, Let's draft a QB each and every draft until we find our guy.

Im old school… like Brady said recently, no way would I start a rookie qb. Let him sit n learn very rarely a qb is ready his rookie season. Yes we seen Ben, Prescott and most recently Stroud do it, but it is very few and far in between.
    Forgot Burrow

Trevor has a playoff win back in 2022 vs chargers but he had also 4 interceptions in the first half alone....It was a massive choke job by the chargers!
