Frank Reich has been fired this morning and now this....
His first game will be against the raiders...
He’s going from playing>booth>Coaching a HS team> coaching an nfl team?
That’s one hell of a gamble, albeit they are clearly tanking so he can hardly make things worse.
Reich is unlucky IMO, crazy injury list and a GM that has made a total mess of the roster have cost him his job. Ballard is still living off one insane draft in 2018 and hasn’t come close to solving the QB issue since Andrew Luck retired.
Is this for real? Jeezuz H.
The owner is meddling. What once was a pretty good gig looks possibly better than the what the ****s in DC. Reich is a good HC, will likely get a lot of looks.
One of the talk shows said the Colts tweeted Saturday spoke to the team during training camp, that is the new interview process. Lmao
I don't think the colts will win a single game for the rest of the year...not even against the steelers, raiders or Houston....I never see a team in the NFL take a interim HC who was not in their staff before this change...He was on TV!!!! He know almost nothing about their system and you can't change the system during the season!
Jim Irsay just want a high draft pick for a QB like in 1998 and 2012!
How long before he calls Peyton?
He probably already has.
I don't see how anyone can look at this as a serious attempt to win football games. I mean who wakes up and says, gee let's fire our head coach and hire Jeff Saturday to fill in.
Time to fire Canada and hire Reich.
I would bet money that Saturday still knows how to manage the clock and when to challenge.
Agree, wadda we gotta lose!
I am interested in the Colts-Steelers matchup. I can see Canada's high school offense getting outcoached by Saturday, a former high school coach, but Tomlin needs to win this game.
Cowher is not a happy man...
Isn't this a form of tanking?
Couldn't agree more. Irsay has now earned the title of craziest of the crazy owners. Just dont see how the rest of the coaching staff will get behind Saturday, especially knowing that many of them will probably be looking for jobs at the end of the season anyways.
Somehow the Raiders are still going to manage to lose to them.
While I agree with most of this....it still sounds a bit bitter. The man owns the team....good , or bad he should have the right to do with it how He feels ....within most things. If He feels (I wouldn't)Saturday the best man....right, or wrong....it's his choice.
I think a big problem in the world is worrying about what other people are doing.
Cowher's entire job is to literally worry and discuss what others are doing. That's what he gets paid for
I believe I stated..."While I agree "
I said the big problem in the WORLD ....not Cowher
I think it was a crazy move however, Jeff Saturday is now 1-0 as an NFL head coach. I know it was against the Raiders who love frittering away 4th quarter leads, but a win is a win.
This thread was amusing, entertaining and incredibly full of a bunch of yahoos eating crow.
