I would imagine that Herbert will get sick of this later down the road and demand a trade. Only way this doesn't happen is if Dean Spanos elects to fire Brandon Staley and bring in another HC.

    Thoughts?!

The chargers always find a way to lose and they are overrated by the media almost every year in the last 15 years or so!

Herbert is in the wrong division. And Kenny Pickett may be more clutch than him.

Again its not what You do , but when You do it, and I have watched Herbert fail many times in clutch situations when He could just have easily won the game....instead, ints, and punts. This is when stats don't do justice. Think about it this way....You could throw 2 tds a game .....in the 1st quarter, but do nothing else , but throw 1 int every other game in the 4th quarter.....Yet Your stats would look amazing.....34 tds , and about 8 ints, and people would say.....See He's doing His job....., but would He really be????? A lot of being great it when You do it.

Some of this is on Herbert, we keep hearing about how talented the Chargers are, but Herbert record as a starter is around .500.

I have to agree. A QB can pile up the stats when their team is way ahead, way behind or between the 20's. He and Josh Allen basically get a lot of street cred for guys that have no world championships. I think they are capable, but in Herbert's case, he plays for a bad owner. I didn't agree with Eli not wanting to go there. I think you should play for the organization that drafted you. But I understood it.

Herbert has 2 fourth quarter come from behind wins in his career, Kenny already has 6.

As far as I see it, Herbert isn't helping his cause with some of these ill advised 4th Quarter turnovers. Herbert himself has not played well in that regard since entering the league.

That said, let us not discount how horrid Brandon Staley has been as a Coach. Never mind his overaggressive nature on 4th Down, his Defenses have simply been some of the worst in the NFL since 2021.

Mind you, that Defense he has constructed isn't devoid of talent; far from it. Issue has been a lack of execution along with a lack of fundamentals.

Hell.. as far as I see it, Herbert is playing way too much Hero Ball to attempt to offset the deficiencies of his own Defense.
