Ah. You're in bourbon country (close enough) In many parts of the US, especially the northeast, anything from the Buffalo Trace distillery has become a hot commodity and rare. Partly because BT couldn't keep up with demand starting a few years ago and by the time they can, it'll be years away since whiskey isn't made overnight. And partly because there's a lot of dipsits (with an "h") that take advantage of their distribution being limited. They'll literally follow the trucks. Snatch up everything they can and then scalp it for huge markups.

If it's legal in your state, you can order directly from the distillery for delivery. Order a case and be set for the year, or week depending.

PA is real picky about ordering alcohol from anyone other than the state run stores.

I drink Writer's Tears Irish Whiskey or Glenmorangie Single Malt Scotch but if I'm out and about I'll order Maker's Mark.

I really like Maker's Mark. Also found out I like Whistle Pig rye. I enjoy the ryes and this one is really good.
