The Bengals look better than last year so not sure it is fair to compare them to that team. Last year they had injuries to their top 2 receivers (AJ Green, Marvin Jones) and #1 tight end (Tyler Eifert). I think Atkins was coming off the ACL as well and wasn't his normal self. It is their second year under the new coordinator also so they are more confident in the scheme. Also Andy Dalton is playing better than he ever has, and he is not forcing the ball to AJ Green this year since he has so many other weapons. Defensively they have holes though especially with the LB core being slow and unable to cover fast running backs like Bell. If Burfict was healthy the Bengals would be much better on defense since he was the leader. I am guessing he will be back for the playoffs which could make them really scary if they stay healthy.

They announced Burfict is back at practice but I would imagine he is a few weeks away from being game ready. He is a great LB when healthy. The rest of their defense is already good so they will be a top 5 type defense when he gets back.

The Steelers know who and what the Bengals are. They play them at least twice every year. The reverse is also true. This game will not be about who 'underestimates' whom. It will be about who hits harder and who executes better.
