Why is there not more uproar over them having to travel to Buff this weekend? they got screwed. The were going to wallop the Bills 2 weeks ago, were off to a fast start.

and now, they have to travel to that icy frozen God forsaken stadium

the NFL blew this one BIG TIME.

How can you say they were going to wallop them? it was 7-3 in the first quarter. You have no idea how the game would have played out, it sucks, but it is what it is. The league could have rescheduled that game, but when and how would it have been fair in relation to other teams?? During Covid they were rescheduling and playing games and it was a nitemare. We have seen players seriously injured, taken from the field and the game resumed...but I do not think this has ever happened. A guy was for all purposes dead on the field..you cannot write a script for this. It sucks, but then if the 'gals would have not given us the first game of the season then the Bills would have been traveling to Cincy this week...**** happens.

They played the same amount of games as each other, Bills have the better record.

It’s impossible to say the Bengals would have won that game. I venture they probably wouldn’t have, Bills are a better team.

Calm down TJ Whosyourmama. There's no way anyone can for sure say the Bengals would have won that game. The league was faced with an incredibly difficult decision and they actually did it logically for once.

Wouldn't the game be in Cincinnati if the Bengals had won 7-3. Same record with the Bengals holding the Tie breaker because the game ended with the Bengals in the lead.

There's no way they could award a win to a team with 54 minutes left to play in the game. I don't care if it were 27-0 like we saw last week.

I think they are getting ripped. Only one way You can tell me differently is if Bills actually won, but they didn't, and when the game was stopped the Bengals were in the lead. Now because a player got hurt the Bengals must travel to Bills. I think it's bullshyte.....I hate both teams. Should Have made them play the make up game....then wouldn't be any doubts.

I agree, but why should the Bills come out on the good side of it???
Game should have been played, and No doubts then. Wasn't Bengals fault, or the Bills fault that a player got hurt....so one shouldn't get preference over the other.

Had they both ended up with the same record then thats the only way to decide it. There just was no way to get that game in given the already insane timelines of the season.

Should be played at a neutral site.....Cleveland or Pittsburgh are pretty equal distance for both teams.

Come on, the game was FAR from decided in the first quarter. If that's how it works, why don't they just start declaring winners after 15 minutes and assume the rest of the game? I think the Bills would have won that game, but they sure didn't automatically lose b/c of not finishing the game.

But if You use that theory....You must also use the same with the season. They are gifting Bills the Home game because they had the better record on a unfinished season.....think about ....if You can gift one for a unfinished season they were up in.....why can't You gift one for a unfinished game they were up in????

That would only be true if the Bills played one more game then Cincy. They played the same amount and the Bills have the better record.

Using that then....the Bills played the exact amount of time in that game before it was canceled....So who ever was winning should get the the win. It's basically the same thing.
The season wasn't over, but because the Bills had the better record they got the home game....well the game wasn't over , but the Bengals were winning.
All I'm saying is it can't be OK one way, and not the other.

A player didnt just get hurt. He literally died on the field and was brought back.

If the Bengals would have beaten the Bills they would have been the #2 seed. Since the game was cancelled this playoff game it should have been played on a neutral field.

    doesn't even make sense.

"IF" the Bengals would have beaten them. You're jumping back 2 weeks and magically saying they would have won based on 7 1/2 minutes of play. Hell the Bengals could have just lost to the Huntley led Ravens last week.

OR for that matter had the bills won the Bengals could have not hosted a playoff game at all! Ravens could have had a shot at the division! They cancelled a game, they both played the same number of games. The Bills have a better record.

You're really basing it on an "IF" but then only using the Bengals winning. Then still taking the result of their next game. What "IF" the Bills had won? What "IF" the Ravens had won the finale?

I'm not saying for sure they would have won only it was a possibility. That is why it should be played at a neutral field because the game wasn't finished. During the last week of the season if the Bengals would have lost to the Ravens then the NFL was going to flip a coin to see if the Bengals or Ravens would host the playoff game the next week even though the Bengals finished with a better win pct. than the Ravens. The Bengals got screwed by having to travel to Buffalo this week. The game should have been played at a neutral field or at least a coin flip like they were going to do with them and the Ravens.

Why the league is basing it on if.
They are saying if the season was only 16 games ,but it's not. I don't know why this is hard to understand. If You use the same thing the NFL used...Why can't I use the same.
The NFL said the Bills had a better record in a unfinished season.....So by the same light...The Bengals had more points in a unfinished game.
So You are saying it's OK in a unfinished season, but not a unfinished game???
