Samuel has had trouble staying healthy and his numbers have declined since his big 2023 season. Maybe they didn't think he was worth the cap hit.

I hadn't considered what his cap hit would be

I am guessing he will be in 25 mill/ year category. Just guessing.

Washington agreed to take on all of Deebo's 17 million salary for 2025, that's probably why the Steelers weren't that interested.

Don't worry we'll get a reciever off of either Atlanta or Carolinas practice squad

IDK how the trade went down, his hit for this year is actually not bad and he is a FA after 25, those void years are a pain for a couple of years. The Commanders are a good fit, they have Mccluren, a QB on rookie contract and made the playoffs. His numbers were not great, but still respectable and if healthy will give another weapon. I have no idea what we are doing, but I'm actually glad we did not go after this trade.

I see the Jets are releasing Adams if they can't find a trading partner for him. He and Rodgers didn't set the league on fire like they were supposed to last season and now they are being shipped out.
