    I will make 2 nominations:

    1) T/G Dillon Radunz from N. Dakota St.

Dillon is one of the top tackles left on the board, but can also play guard. Steelers Depot's writeup said his techniques are already up to Low NFL standards and projects him as a long term starter

    2) ILB Barron Browning from Ohio St.

A former safety who opted out because of Covid but has the potential to be the best LB in this class. Can play the mack or buck positions and pair with DB would give is elite speed down the middle.

Another name to consider at center,

    Quinn Meinerz, Wisconsin Whitewater.

Knock on him is small school but he was demolishing guys at the Senior Bowl. He has the size and versatility to play along the line. He has that natural old world strength that allows him to just pancake people. Also used to wrestle so he’s good with his hands and feet.

Out of the seven nominated, I am leaning Landon Dickerson. Injuries are a red flag, but his talent, football IQ, and the plug and play potential are pluses. Meinerz is probably my second choice.

Thats where I’m at. I don’t think Meinerz is far behind him so it’s just the injuries that will be the deciding factor for me.

Sorry. Meinertz is a Division 3player who sat out this season. The only “plug and play” center left in the draft is Dickerson. Meinertz isn’t ready to start in the pros.

Wouldn’t know that from the display he put on at the Senior Bowl. He also begged to play with a broken hand, love that mentality. Maybe not plug and play but he doesn’t have to be. He’d be playing the second half of the season though.

I don’t put in as much stock into the small school knocks as others do. Very good players have come out of them.

Obviously I put Dickerson ahead but I’m not going to ignore his injury history, it’s significant.

Not going to disagree with anything you said. Meinerz dominated at the D3 level, and proved he could hold his own at the Senior Bowl. He's an interesting story, and apparently a pretty interesting person. But I don't know if he'd even be ready to start by the middle of the season.
And Dickerson's injury should scare everyone. Which is why he's available at this pick.

Meinerz one vote so far. Dickerson has one vote. Looking at various mock drafts Dickerson is going from high 30s to low 60s. Meinerz is going to Pittsburgh in 2nd round in one draft. #169 to Cle in another mock draft.

Draft him. If he can't play the Steelers can finally get their cheerleading squad started.

I posted that in another thread, funny stuff, Jones was cracking up.

Question with him is not has his ACL healed but if you think he will continue to be injury prone. I remember having these concerns about Mosley and he was fine after being drafted and ironically it was Shazier who had the career ending injury.

    I vote for Quin Meinerz.

    I simply don't trust Dickerson's injury history.

Quin's motivation and desire for the game and learning new techniques is not a teachable trait. This has potential Steelers captain written all over it.

Looks like its Dickerson 3 to Meinerz 2 so far. I think its safe to say these are the only two candidates at this point.
