The 2008 Steelers had only 3 1st Rounders Starting on Defense

    Just Farrior, Big Snack and Troy on that team, everyone else were mid rounders including Bret Keisel (7th rounder) and an undrafted Ryan Clark. That defense was one of the best steelers defense in the modern era. Just let that sink in...

    Pretty sure the Patriots use the same 3-4 base defense. Dont think the scheme is the issue .

    Like all successful (and unsuccessful) organizations , it starts at the top. Coaching is the problem. I think Butler is great helping guys like Cowher and Lebeau. The duo of Butler and Tomlin is not working.

    Butler was a good LB coach but that's where it ends. He is in way over his head.
