a great back end of the season race to the finish line. Great job team.
in the end, the loss to 2 SUCK teams kept us out - NE and the JETS. We blew CHUNKS early in the year and I nope they never forget it. it sucks to sit home next weekend, but it SUCKED to be 2-6. the hole was virtually insurmountable.

much to build on for next year. get the axe out, get rid of some coaches and players.

maybe we can win 10 next year.

Like they say "gotta play the full 60 minutes"....gotta play the full 17 games. Can't just turn it on during the back 9.

Yeah, the 2-6 start was not good, but a lot of us expected this to be a rough season for the first season without Ben. Even though this is it, the fact that they started playing well after that is very encouraging for the future. Better than I had realistically hoped at the beginning of the season.

Really it was a few singular plays.... Gunnar muff punt vs NE, Sutton dropped INT vs Jets, any of Trubisky's two picks vs the Ravens plus a blocked FG, Any of the dropped INT's vs the Dolphins and KFP's two late INT's.

We blew chunks for a multitude of reasons too. Rookie QB thrust into a tough situation. Watt's injury (Minkah missed time as did the majority of our CB room mid year), Najee's injury issues early in the year, poor play from Trubisky. But it is great to see the progression in the year. As we got healthy we finished 7-2. KFP progressed nicely. The OL progressed greatly (the OL coach deserves props here), Canada improved, our young guys got great experience and confidence.

We are in a MUCH better place missing out at 9-8 vs. where we would be had we won 5 games and got a better draft pick. We have our QB to work with, loads of young talent to be excited about on the offensive side of the ball, 3 draft picks in the first 50 slots, and should be able to clear out a good amount of cap space to be active in FA.

The loss to Baltimore with their 3rd string High School QB to me was the nail in the coffin for the season.

Although, I may be back on the Canada bandwagon after watching the last 3 games.

We probably would’ve won 10 or 11 this year if TJ Watt doesn’t get injured. If we improve at all next year, I would think 10-11 games would be the expectation not the hope.

I thought Trubisky at QB and the run defense would be better earlier in the year. Pickett exceeded my expectations for his rookie year. Pickett actually had a better rookie year than Allen and Burrow... which bodes well for the Steelers in '23.
