That's the drive that we needed to see. And that's why you don't "shut him down for the season" after the concussions. Nice step forward by Pickettt tonight. Hopefully he continues to grow.

Tonight was a very rare instance of the entire family watching the game. The next to the last drive, I said "this is it....this is Picketts time to take control and make that step forward." It didn't happen. But when the D got the ball back one last time, I said in my best Maxwell Smart voice "would you believe that THIS is Pickett's time to take control and make that step forward." (let's see how many old fart's get the reference)

It's time. He needed to take that step forward. He did. Now let's keep it going.

Pickett, Pickens, Muth and Harris all under 25 years old. This is a good nucleus to build on.

One thing for sure he outplayed Carr. Carr seemed to get worse as the game went on, the cold and the wind seemed to really bother him.

That's what we have been waiting for Pickett to show us, it wasn't a great game by him, but he came through in the end.

You absolutely cannot forget the guy is still just a rookie with only a few games under his belt. Look at Trevor Lawrence, Tua, and even Josh Allen... These guys all had higher draft pedigrees than Pickett and certainly did not light the world on fire out of the gate. They all had plenty of loud doubters. It takes time to get comfortable in this league, and in some cases, a coaching change is the catalyst to success for some guys.

Kenny's got a lot of work to do, but I like his moxy and ability to lead. He doesn't seem to panic when things get tough. He's already improved in his decision making from earlier in the year and is making less mistakes. He needs to improve his accuracy, but that will come as he further settles in. I think if we continue building around him, good things will happen.

The TD pass was a laser. No indecision whatsoever. Tough conditions for both offenses. Watched the game at my nephews with that crew, it was a good time. I just had a feeling they were going to find a way. Glad to see the kid come through.

That almost pick I. The 2ns I think, would prove accuracy the other way.

The 6 yard out to DJ was put in a place that only DJ gets it and can turn up field.
It's a pick with a better corner and an iffy throw but put it in the 1 place for success on that play.

Not all in but I'm buying shares.

That drive was definitely clutch, and the most encouraging thing is I saw people tweeting that he called all the plays. I'd like to see something more valid that some of the tweeters, but something that's encouraging, nonetheless.

I think what pissed me off most about the game was I missed the first showing of A Christmas Story on TBS but now I can settle in and watch the next 11 until I put Pink Floyd on to watch The Wizard of OZ.

Just goofing Merry Christmas. Although will admit I do watch it at least once.

It was truly a Christmas miracle last night. Just like the Grinch's heart, Kenny's hands grew 10 times bigger on that last drive.

My young nephew just called me. Told me my generation had the Franco catch to start them on the path to glory. He is convinced since it happened on Franco's night that it's a sign that drive Kenny led is now his generations path to glory. Obviously I'd love for that to be true but IMO it's not even close.

Left side of the O line, WR3 (could this be Austin?), D Line, CB, MLB. Needs are great, improving one or two areas of the defense helps the 3rd area even if not addressed. But the O line is an absolute must.

Another point, I believe Conner Heyward will supplant Zach Gentry next year. 81 and just not produced this year. I was really hoping for him to take a step forward this year.

So, just like superbowl 43, here's the debate; Which was the better play:

Sutton interception or the Pickens touchdown?

INT...the pickens catch anyone would make. Both awesome plays but sutton sealed the game.
