It was a long field goal attempt (55 yards) with questionable wind. I agreed with the call at the time.

BS. It was 51 yards with a hot kicker at MILE HIGH STADIUM! The flags were not blowing all that hard at the time. Danny Smith was in his ear about as he should be. Boswell makes that 9 times out of 10. His gut is like a giant fart!

going for a fg does not give you 3. you need to hit it. did anyone notice the kickoffs? going that way they stayed in the endzone. going other way. they went into row 3. bosewells 47 yarder didn't even reach the net.

a 50 yard fg is no guarantee .even with the loss i feel like breaking something but the future is bright.even taking the JV team to play the number 1 seed at one of the hardest places to play and playing as hard as they did with a legit shot at winning is a huge accomplishment .fix the back end of the defence and 2016 will be a year to remember

Tomlin is a liability. The fumble cost us the game, but we shouldn't have to worry about our coach making a bad decision as much as we do. If we would of scored a TD when up by one, does Tomlin kick the xtra point to make it 8 or try to make it 9. You never know what he is going to do and his time management isn't great either. IMO, he does more to hurt us than help us.

 

I initially was unsettled with the non-field goal attempt too.I would have kicked it, but I understand that the steelers defense was playing well against the denver offense. Yeah, I think it may have been a bit overly conservative, but there were plenty of opportunities for the steelers to win after.

 

Come on 86. I'm not a fan of MT but he called a good game. That FG had probably less than 50/50 shot and even if he hit it, we lost by 7, not by 3.

 

The 4th and 1 call wasn't bad. Why?

1. @Ray D called PI. I haven't seen the replay, but I'll go with that.
2. Miller was open for a conversion of around 5 yards.

The conversion was on, but we didn't make it. This offense has been about aggressive playcalling all year long. So no surprises, and no problems from me, with the call.

I don't expect that to win anyone over, but there you go.

 

Well first of all you can't just tack that 3 on to the end score because making that field goal would have changed the entire course of the game from that point on.

I thought they said it was a 52 yarder, if that was in fact the case I think we should have went for it. Boswell has been hot and yeah the wind is a factor but he managed it well with his earlier kick. You most likely end up with a touch back which doesn't set them that much further back. Given how Denver was barely moving the ball, I say you go for the 3. Much more reward than risk.
