Teven Jenkins Back surgery

He was definitely who I wanted. Based on where we were picking I felt he was the best OL prospect. Curious if the Steelers or other teams caught wind of his back issues?

Super happy with Harris though! He was option 2 for me.

 

According to this article the bears were well aware of his back issues prior to drafting him.

This then explains why the Steelers did not draft him. Back issues in college do translate to the pro's in a negative way more than often. Once they become common place in the pros.... yikes!!!!


Doubly so for an Offensive Lineman where leverage and bend are critical. Stinks regardless for Teven Jenkins as I also wanted him in the worst way. Given Dan Moore Jr.'s progression though, I think passing on Jenkins for Harris was the smart play in the end for the time being.

 

That's a shame. It's no secret he was my main man. I hope he can get healthy and back on the field. He's fun to watch.
