So? Should I be banned for this offense? :lolol:

I've been a fan since the late 70's.... and I've never witnessed a Steelers defense this bad, even in the late 1980's. This is a trend since 2021... terrible defensive performance starting with the "Dalvin Cook" game against the Vikings. It's sad to see the defense get torched on the ground and through the air like they have over the past 5 seasons. This is not the Steeler way or the standard established in previous decades going back to the 70's.

No you just have to stop looking like a tard. Show some optimisim once in awhile. You're like the most and consistently negative person on the board. You sure you're a fan? I heard Oakland is looking for dedicated fans such as yourself. :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

I'm not going to be optimistic until there's a change at Head Coach. Steelers have needed a change going on 8 years now... and nothing has happened. We're gonna get the same crap and result this year as we have since 2017. You are delusional if you believe otherwise. Other than having a competent QB who is past his prime... Steelers are not any better than they were in previous years, especially on Oline, WR and defense. They are actually worse in some areas.

Just trying to figure out statistically how good you are at making predictions. Oh wait I found it. You are near last in your predictions. One of these weeks your going to be right just like that ole blind squirrel that finds a nut a time or two .

I picked Steelers to beat Seattle. Thought Seahawks would have jet lag. Seahawks are a much better team. Better coaching, better players.

Well at least that is something positive that turn out to be a negative. I always pick them to win every week. Would never not picked them in my pool It's just bad karma. At least imho. As I said in my other post I am in 9th out of 114 members so while analytics are not the be all end all they certainly have kept me in the top 10. :)

Why would that be hard math to do. LoL. Of course it would be less, He was here then for a less time. LoL. I shouldn't have to point out this to you. If I do something for let's say 10 years , and You do something for 17, with added games to yours....Oh hell I shouldn't have to break this simple stuff down for You.

He is exactly 1-5 in his predictions this year. The only one he's gotten right was the Bengals game, and the only time he's picked us to win was the Seahawks game, and we lost, so that's 1-5 on predictions. I hope he picks us to lose against the Packers.

Chase is now tied for 3rd with the most targets ever in an NFL game for a WR. Tied for 9th in an NFL game for the most catches.

The Pittsburgh Steelers defense ranks in the middle of the NFL pack in 2025, showing flashes of dominance but struggling with consistency, especially against high-powered offenses.

A breakdown of how the Steelers defense compares across key metrics and league rankings:

    Overall Defensive Performance
    - Yards Allowed: The Steelers have given up significant yardage in recent games, including 470 yards to the Bengals in Week 7.
    - Points Allowed: Historically strong, Pittsburgh has finished top 10 in points allowed in 7 of the last 9 seasons. However, recent performances suggest some slippage.
Red Zone Defense: Their red zone efficiency has been inconsistent. While not among the worst, they’re not leading in Red Zone Plus/Minus either.

    Defensive Standouts
    - T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith continue to anchor the pass rush, with Highsmith contributing 4.5 sacks and 13 QB hits in just five games.
    - Nick Herbig, though not a starter, has made a strong impact with an interception, forced fumble, and multiple pressures.
    - Jalen Ramsey joined the team in 2025, replacing Minkah Fitzpatrick and adding veteran leadership to the secondary.

    Recent Struggles
    - The Week 7 loss to Cincinnati exposed vulnerabilities, especially in pass coverage and tackling. Defensive leader Patrick Queen acknowledged the poor execution but downplayed long-term concerns. This was a loss all Steeler fans lament over since the Bengals are terrible.

On the Fantasy front - Fantasy analysts have dropped the Steelers out of Tier 1 defenses for Week 8, citing matchup concerns and recent performance dips.

    Around the League Comparison
According to current NFL defensive rankings:
    - Teams like the Houston Texans, Denver Broncos, and Green Bay Packers are outperforming Pittsburgh in yards and points allowed.
    - The Steelers are not among the top 10 in total defense, suggesting they’re closer to average than elite this season.

So, looking at the stats now, does tell a little different story but not a lot.
What I can't analyze in a batch mode, is the schematics. It's screenshot by screen show of what they are anticipating and what went wrong or right on each shot. In general, I've seen miscommunications where the help was supposed to be but wasn't, a bad blitz here and there, missed tackles, some terrible design (wrong players doing assignments they aren't good at) and such.

Green Bay is going to be a man-up test. They are going to have to execute.
If I had to make a prediction I would go somewhere along the lines of:
Steelers 30 Packers 28 - If all goes well.
Steelers 10 Packers 31 - If all goes wrong.

Interesting. The post is all about our defensive issues, but you see a 3 point difference in points allowed between things going well and not going well, but a 20 point difference in how our offense would do. So… which unit are you concerned about?

I can't read that into that....
If all goes well our defense does just enough to get us a win.
If our defense gets steamrolled, then the offense is in a come from behind mode... that isn't good.
Odd how you read that... but I guess I see it.
