Wilson is an uncertainty.. He did some nice things without pads on.
It's hard for me to utter the 'Bust' word.... he was on the field for something like 4 or 6 plays last season after being injured.
So far this year, he hasn't been bad.
I imagine they will feature him Saturday at least one or twice for sure.

Why would Washington want a 5th and a boneheaded cancer who is only worth a 3rd

The name of the game is to assemble the best talent you can. If you can obtain a player like McLaurin you do it.

He’d only help the running game. You’re not stacking the box with him and Metcalf running loose.

Why would Washington want a big time unproven, injured riddled Calvin Austin and a 3rd?

You kids Crack me up with devaluing a player severely, yet pump up a player who would barely break as a #4 on majority of teams.

    they won't take that.

they need an edge rusher badly. They would want to discuss Highsmith.....

No, but several in here are. You probably know that Terry is not going to happen. And that the only time steelers reached out to Washington was with trading tj.

I really didn't know there was any trade trade talk re: TJ.
I think Washington's stance was not to make another trade after Deebo... but could sign someone if they got released.
I think Pittsburgh did not want to trade TJ and didn't talk to anyone....

Funny thing is, I know the Washington beat guys way better than ours. John Kiem, Rick Snider, Mark Maske... etc...
But full disclosure, I'm not in the digging for gold mode anymore...

Now off the cuff thinking and before TJ's contract...
I could see a Trade for TJ and McLaurin but I think that window was really small.

    Stranger things have happened.

At 30, I would suspect a 2nd round pick is too much for McLovin. So, a 3rd and a player seems fair to me. Maybe a 3rd next year and a 7th round pick the year after would be good. Why would Steelers give up any wr depth? Why would Wash want any of the Steelers' depth? Maybe a straight up trade for our 2nd string punter.

It must be great to be wrong all the time. :) Sorry, but Roman Wilson is not having a good camp.

Roman Wilson listed as 5th or 6th WR on Steelers depth chart released today by the team.

Steelers Depth Chart | Pittsburgh Steelers - Steelers.com

If Roman offers nothing on special teams, he may have a hard time making the team this year.

Speaking with the media after practice, Head Coach Mike Tomlin was asked about Wilson and what his evaluation is of Wilson to this point.

"He has shown really good adaptability and position flex," said Tomlin on Roman Wilson. "We are still very much early in the process, but I like some of the things I've seen from him, certainly."

There was another article outlining Wilson as not having progressed at all and running multiple wrong routes (as evidenced by passes that went his way being far off as if anticipating him in different locations). Hard to tell at this point tbh. He is going to have to prove it in the preseason.

Not that I support such reckless deal making they could work a trade for him give Metcalf like money then next season flip him to Miami for Hill and some change then flip Hill for whatever player they need to make things work.

If he is running the wrong routes with Rodgers at QB then he won't be around long.

    This didn’t age well

Roman Wilson's latest practice is giving Pittsburgh Steelers fans hope at receiver
With Calvin Austin III missing another practice due to injury, Wilson stepped up in a big way at Tuesday's practice. He made multiple impressive grabs in both team drills and one-on-one situations, showcasing the quickness and ability to separate that made him so hard to guard at Michigan.

He also showed better chemistry with Aaron Rodgers, and that may be more important than anything in terms of getting on the field in a featured role.

@Brice@Brice I'm beginning to be concerned about your well-being because you seem to run headfirst into walls when a measured approach might serve you better. As @jeh1856@jeh1856 has shown here patiently waiting for more information likely will give you more time to have an informed opinion.

Also Tomlin puts no faith in depth charts especially training camp ones before the 1st preseason game where likely starters won't play and typically would be listed lower as such.

I mean the sky wouldn't be falling if he played poorly all camp. He still has time to figure it out....

But it definitely is a bit concerning for wrong routes to be run when literally all he could do last year was study the playbook (and the playbook hasn't changed). Missed routes lead to picks. If Rodgers throws 2 picks in a game because of wrong routes, we likely lose that game....

Again. I agree that the sky isn't falling (and its still way early), but I can understand some of the concern that has come out. Lots of mixed reviews.
