Nothing new here. Best part of the 70's teams, beside the winning, I didn't pay attention behind the scenes. I actually never knew about the internal BS until Noll retired. I sure know the BS that goes on today:(

So sick of this whiny butthurt from Bradshaw. Saying Noll wasn't a nice person and was mean to him. Sounds like a child, not a 76-year-old man.

I also think Bradshaw was a little immature at that time. great talent and very good at what he did with a cannon arm. That wasn't ready for the big time in the beginning. But he sure made up for it.

Bradshaw may not have liked coach Noll, but he can't deny that Noll's "methods" helped get the most out of Bradshaw and the Steelers. Bradshaw should be grateful, instead of harboring this silly grudge of his.

You never hear Joe Greene or Jack Lambert complain about Noll being mean to them

Noll was a no nonsense leader of men. Its a shame that Bradshaw just can wrap his head around the tough love and move forward.

Would Bradshaw have thrived under another coach/ team?

I feel he was in the best situation as a Pittsburgh Steeler. Has 4 rings and 2 SB MVP's.

I mean Bradshaw wasn't good for the first 3-4 years of his career, of course Noll wasn't going to coddle him.

That is not Lambert's actual twitter.. he doesnt have one. That said, I've never heard him say anything negative towards Noll.

If you watch the Football Life documentary on Noll this comes up and they ask his son about it. Bradshaw says something about he needed Chuck to hug him instead of being mean or something to that effect and Chuck's son says get in line.

I wonder if Bradshaw had a "players coach" that coddled him would he have been the HOF player he turned out to be.

If Bradshaw played today, He wouldn't have been on the Steelers.
    1. We wouldn't have had the 1st pick, and ....
    2. He would more than likely be on another team, because He didn't show anything until late enough, the fans would have not only booed him out of the stadium, the press, and fans would have made his life a living hell on every sports media, and social media platform that exist today.

Absolutely not. He'd be out of the league or at best riding pine. And deep down, Terry has to know that however indifferent, mean or cruel he thought Noll was, Noll brought out the best in him as a player. He might not have liked how he was treated. But he NEEDED a guy like Noll to push him. Some players thrive with a friendlier, easy go lucky coaching style. Terry isn't one of those guys. He'd be happier. But he'd be horrible.

But I'll be more than happy to shake Terry's hand and tell him he did a great job and we love him. He's earned it.

I commonly saw Bradshaw take responsibility for a bad game

Once I remember he used the phrase “I stunk the joint out”

We regularly saw Ben throw someone else under the bus

Everyone here who ever saw Ben take responsibility after a bad game put your hand up

    Anyone

    Hello

And yet he went to the HOF and is most likely the best quarterback we will ever have

I was having doubts Mr Lambert would even have a twitter account

I have a friend who went to read his water meter many years ago

Jack “ASKED” him to have a beer with him

It was 10 o’clock in the morning

So at 10 o’clock in the morning my friend had a beer with Jack
