Well there weren't any excuse on our end when they barely beat us when Woodley was out.

So he had a boo boo playing Bball? Does that violate his contract? Maybe the rats will trade him now

Don't want to give the Ravens any excuses for when we beat them. Enter Courtney Upshaw.

I really don't "want" this to happen to anyone. Honestly, I've never injured my achilles, but it hurts every time I hear that someone else hurt theirs.

That said, couldn't happen to a bigger a-hole. HE is the filthy player everyone thinks James Harrison is. Drives me crazy that JH has the label he does despite being a clean player, and Suggs doesn't have a label at all, except as a better pass rusher than James Harrison, despite fewer sacks per attempt, compared to Harrison. I don't really believe in karma, but I do think about it when something like this happens.

yea, i hate to see any player hurt. suggs, never really gave us to many fits. max handled him pretty well and they had to keep moving him to the other side and we handled him pretty well there too. now we will have a new guy to learn, with a young player. it equals out i'd say.

is it me or does there seem to be alot more of these injuries lately? these and torn triceps it seems like. i just don't remember hearing about so many as the last few seasons. are they not stretching out enough?

Even better. He won't be up to speed - and IMO, he'll be ineffective.

That's fine and we should run right at him with Pouncy and DE Castro leading the way, we'll see how good that surgeon was. Also always in the first game back you have that little voice in your head wondering if it will tear again so just a touch of hesitation, he'll be a step slower for sure.

Did anyone hear the Steelers make an excuse a couple of years ago when they BARELY beat us without Big Ben and Dixon at the helm? Nah - A win over the Suggs-less Ratbirds will be just as sweet.

I dont like it bc we wont really know how good Adams and Decastro make are OL. Slug has Big Bens number and if we can protect Ben from Slug, our OL is complete.

Have you been watching the same games as me. Suggs has killed the Steelers the last 3 years, don't get me wrong, max did do okay against him at times. But, it seemed like averaged 2-3 sacks a game when he played us.

There is no way he is coming back this season. If he does I would be down right shocked. Usually it takes a year recovery time for this injury.

    Thuggs tears achilles

Thuggs partially tears his Achilles but thinks he will be back by mid season. I wish no harm on anyone but karma just bit him is the arse! :ratbirds:

That is fine. Let him come back too early or try and push it too much and make the problem even worse. Plus what kind of shape will he be in by that date in November?

Loved the comment SteelTerp! How true!

I believe this is brave talk coming from Suggs, these kind of injuries are among the worst an athlete can get. I will go on record saying that I will be surprised if we see him play a down this season.

Road to a division title just got easier. And no way he comes back this year, those injuries are brutal, I've known people who have done that, looooooong recovery and they don't even play a brutal sport like football. Quite honestly, his career might be over considering the power he needs to generate to rush pass a 300lbs lineman.

@Mac, put down the crack pipe, Suggs kills us. He seems to make a big splash play every game.

He knows that steelers nation is laughing so he's trying to ruin our party by saying" he'll be back!", if he was Arnold, then I would be worried.

anybody have his tweet link..I'd like to wish him well  :)

if he does, he won't make it through the game

partially torn achilles and playing like he does ... the force that that puts on the (probably) not fully healed injury will be too much, especially with the additional stress of whoever is blocking him
