Ben basically threw Tomlin under the bus. "No accountability and discipline"... that's not the leader of the team calling out the players. That's Ben saying "coach! grow a pair and do something about this failure. That is 100% Ben saying the coaching staff has no control of the team and is making poor decisions with the team.

Probably Ben's input to go for 2 as well..Maybe he is trying to get Coach T to take it another step ? With as poor as this D is maybe we should just try the onside kick after each score as well ...Might as well give Teams shorter fields and get the Offense back on the field as quick as possible...This might even help the D grow a pair ?

At the very least we should be the best 2 Pt. Team in the NFL and have the best onside kicking game in the NFL...You can't Coach the group we have on D they just don't have enough talent...

I saw an ESPN analyst finally say what I've been saying for years... He said "Tomlin was a DB coach, why do they constantly have one of the worst secondaries?" Because he's a bad coach, the end.

It's been said quite a bit on here.

Bad secondary play goes back to Cowher. Consistently picking late round DBs, and getting unlucky with some higher picks... now we've got rookies playing, who will make rookie mistake.

    Frustrating, but not exactly mysterious.

I feel that Gay and Cockrell have been good this year. Am I alone?

What ever he yelled out when zeke scored that last touch down should be used as the caption this week. It keeps being replayed on NFL Network. Looked like he said "OH NO". I don't dislike Tomlin...but every time I see him it reminds me of when he step onto the field in Baltimore to disrupt Jones touch down run. I lost alittle respect for him at that point it was uncanny for a coach to do that unless your the Pats of course. Wonder what the Rooney's thought about it.

Didn't Cockrell have that costly penalty at the end of the game?

Polamalu, Clark, and Ike. Light years better then what we got now. I've been screaming about the secondary since Cowher and about my hate for Ike Taylor. I never thought I'd say this but I'd take him over any corners we got right now. I see potential in Artie Burns. But I still don't understand how you don't get the argument. He's a DB/defensive coach for years and under him always have one of the worst secondaries in the league. The best one Keenan Lewis didn't even like Tomlin then they throw huge money at Cortez Allen because he's a "Tomlin guy" He was in the Top 5-6 paid players for a couple years and didn't even play. You sign a offensive head coach, you expect the offense to be good. He hasn't been able to coach up 2-3 corners in 9 years!? Sorry but that's all the proof I need to know you do nothing and are a bad coach.

^^^ This. It's nothing new. People have short memories around here and forget about the days of DeWayne Washington and Chad Scott.

No it was Davis. At least I think it was

Edit.. Davis was face mask and Cockrell popped a guy out of bounds.. So both cost us.

Good not great!!! and great is what we need. Cockrell cost us 15 yards for a unnecessary roughness penalty, that the player was well out of bounds that falls in the area of lack of decipline on his part he should know better.

I never thought Chad Scott or sometimes referred to as Chard Scott was that bad. The same way I never understood why people picked on Gay.

Washington/Scott were not as good as Woodson/Lake or Taylor/Townsend/McFadden. Truth.

Not alone in my view. I really haven't seen too much of Gay....which is usually a good thing. But I love Cockrell's ability to read. He's a smart player. Dumb ass penalty on the out of bounds hit yes, but he is consistently defending the catch point with his diagnosis skills. I think he only gets better.

Ben needs to be quiet, his play has been subpar in three of the five losses. If he has a problem call a team meeting, instead going to the media about it.

Chad Scott took his playbook to New England so they could print copies and gave him a job.

He's also improving as a tackler, which was a big problem for him.
