Ok, but the Corral Dart comparisons are a non-starter. Corral was NEVER compared to a Jalen Hurts, ever. (period)

Yet he did have success in college, at Ole Miss, playing for Lane Kiffin. He was considered a fringe 1st round talent. The comparison is apples to apples.

I don't want Deion Sanders kid as our QB.He would probably lay down on the field any time he was going to get rushed. Probably just like his daddy who never tackled.

We don't disagree often, but unlike Pickett, who couldn't managed better than mediocre until like his sixth college season and age 23 or 24, Dart has been pretty good from earlier in his college career. He is a competitor (Pickett came across as not much caring), runs decently, can make all the throws, though he doesn't ahve a rocket arm and can actual move throw 2+ progressions (kinda rare for college QBs).

My concern is that QBs from a Lane Kiffin coached team seem to not translate well to NFL, but its not always the same OC, so who knows.

I'd be okay with Dart at 21, I know they need a DL, but Dart is about the only one available without overpaying in a traded up worth a first round pick this year. If he goes ahead of them, draft an interior DL or a 3-4 DE type to groom under Heyward.

If they wait, then I'd be for the Syracuse QB in round 3 or 4 or 5, not sure his projected range.

Jalen Milroe is Justin Fields on steroids. Better speed and elusiveness, even worse passing. We'd better break out the triple-option if we draft Milroe and just go ALL IN on an OLD SCHOOL approach.

An irony about Shedeur's play relative to his dad's is that while mobile he's not considered athletic, and he's known for sticking in the pocket and taking a hit while allowing his receiver to get open. Crumbling pockets don't phase him, to a fault at times.

Actually he plays with toughness and takes a lot of hits standing in the pocket to deliver the ball. Ironic as all hell, isn’t it?

Possibly because he holds onto the ball too long. He also had a terrible OL.
He is the most accurate passer in this draft.

    McCord gets injured.

Here's what you look for in a QB, in order of priority:

    1. Accuracy
    2. Processing/decision making
    3. Arm strength
    4. Pocket awareness
    5. Mobility

I'm ok if we do not draft Shedeur Sanders. But I hope the reason will not be because his daddy didn't like to tackle. :lolol:

Tom Brady's daddy must have been one aggressive tackling S.O.B.
Any idea about Aaron Rodgers day before we sign him?

Very limited pass options and reading of defenses. Until Steelers
find A QB that can process defenses quickly and get ball out quickly we are in a world of trouble.

Id be OK with Dart in the 3rd or 4th I just don’t think he’s a first round guy. We shouldn’t reach out of desperation.

Maybe. Seems like his stock is rising due to the position and lack of high end prospects.

Every draft. You have to have a QB. Teams that need a QB will roll the dice trying to get one.
I don't understand why fans keep trying to predict which prospects are going to be worthy or not.

That is a lot of it. There are a lot of teams needing a QB and not that many good ones to choose from so Dart will go much higher than he would have last draft. Even a RB who masquerades as QB like Milroe will go in the top 3 rounds.

I think the bottom line is we have no hope in 2025.

I`m actually quietly hoping we do so poorly we get a franchise QB in the next (2026) draft.

Because besides complaining about ownership and MT what else do we have to do?

That’s what a message board is all about. Random internet people making predictions and giving opinions.

Not much of a college football fan are you. I am guessing you never watched a single Colorado game last year???

Sanders can stay in the pocket and take a hit to get the ball down the field. Sanders really seemed to improve his game in Colorado working with former NFL head coach Pat Shurmur.

I am still predicting top 3. Cleveland or NY Giants; I just can't see Deon letting him go to Cleveland at the #2 spot.
