People can make all the excuses they want, but the simple fact is Tebow won we he got a chance.

The Broncos were 1-4 under Orton (who had been very good the year before). When they made the change Tebow ended up with an 8-5 record including the win over us in the playoffs, at one point went on a 6 game winning streak, and had game winning drives in the 4th quarter or OT in 6 of those games.

Is Tebow better than Sanchez? Is Tebow better than Blaine Gabbert? I think those 2 are by far the worst starting qbs in the league.

The TEAM won. Tebow doesn't have jack @#@# to with PRader kicking 60+ yard field goals. The offense can't move the freaking ball to save their life and the kicker comes in and kicks absurdly long field goals and people claim all he does is win. This all he does is win argument in a TEAM game is mind numbingly stupid.

Nobody's claiming he won it himself, of course it's a team game. But Orton didn't win with the same roster he did. He leads by example and teammates rally around him. Nobody said it was all him. The fact is Orton was .200 and Tebow was .600 with the same exact roster!

Did you happen to miss all of the bombs Tebow completed against us (for 300+ yards). Seems stupid to me to just dismiss all of that.

Did you happen to miss that they completely changed all the routes to take advantage of the depleted secondary and the fact that they knew DL didn't respect Tebow's arm? The boy has a gun on him, it isn't always accurate or pretty, but if you discount it he can make a few throws. This guy pretty much sucked for 3 1/2 quarters in every game he started and had some weird crap happen late to pull most of those games out.

I think Tebow has talent to help a team somehow. He would have led the Jets to a better record last year than Sanchez.

A lot of former players who are analysts hate on him. Some of it is deserved, and some of it is because I think in some ways they are jealous of the attention he gets. Just look at Hodge. Hodge hates on him like it is personal. Like Tebow stole his kids lunch money or something?!??!

I predict if he goes to the CFL for numerous years and is successful he will return to the NFL and play QB once again just like Flutie.

It's just amazing to me that so many people want to say he got lucky for almost a whole season. Yes he had some ugly throws, yes he has issues and flaws... but how can you not give him a chance given his record? Ben Roethlisberger makes a lot of awful throws too, but he's a winner, and typically comes through in the clutch. How many times have we seen Ben play terrible all game only to come through at the end?

And guess what... Tebow makes bad throws, but he doesn't turn it over, which is pretty incredible. Even if he's not moving the ball down the field at will, he's not killing his defense by throwing a ton of picks.

Maybe we didn't respect Tebow, but wouldn't you think after he throws two over your head you might start to?

I'm done with discussing the subject. People have made up their minds on Tebow already. I just don't see how you can think he got lucky for almost an entire NFL season.

Exactly. When someone suggests Ben was lucky, lucky to play for a team with a top D, lucky to suck and still get a ring in SB XL, all you hear is that he's a winner, that stats mean nothing. But that somehow doesn't apply to Tim Terrific. Look, I don't think he's an NFL QB either, but the guy was a starter for only the better part of one season and he was successful. Doesn't he merit a chance to fail on his own, rather than be denied a chance just because despite of his success, he just doesn't look like a successful QB?

You guys are talking like he wasn't given a chance at all. Come one the Broncos drafted him and gave him a shot, but didn't like hoping to win consistently by the seat of their pants, so they traded him. Crap he even admitted that on a lot of those routes in the Play-off game he only had one or 2 reads.

The Jets were never going to use him as a main QB and everyone knew that (including him). None of the other franchises want to use him as a QB and that's their perogative. So, he has been given a chance. Most people don't ever reach that level, let alone actually play, so I don't feel sorry for him. His choice is he doesn't want to switch positions.

Pittsburgh had a guy just like him (He who shall not be named) that had on and off sucess and pretty much torpedoed a shot at a few SB's with the defense they had.
