I have defended Ike for many years. Even after his performance in the playoff loss last year. But after last nite I can no longer stand up for the guy. That was about as sorry as you could get. I just dont know what to say anymore!

 

He's done. He gave us some good years, but he has clearly lost a few steps. Cut him after the season. Actually we need to blow up this whole defense.

 

Move him to safety next year, he can't play press coverage.

 

Safety, he can't tackle either.

 

i would try to move him at safety this year since we have only clark , and see if pan out otherwise cut him ,use this season as experiment with all the young guys too . we have nothing to loose we can't stop anybody

 

I have defended his play over the years, but this year he has really regressed.

I think he started to believe his own hype and has forgot technique. He thinks he can always use his speed to get back after not playing the initial coverage properly. He cannot anymore and resorts to grabbing and holding. That hold before their last TD was terrible - all he needed to do was play the receiver and make the tackle and it would have been 4th down. He seems to either be out of position or unaware of the ball when he actually is in position. The last TD he was there to either pick or defend that pass and he barely touched it allowing Britt to play hand ball with it before finally catching it.

 

At this point I wouldn't mind seeing that, why not see what Butler can do in a starting role? How much worse can it really get? If Ike is in man coverage he gets beat, every QB watching film sees this.

 

He is horrible .....and for anyone who says Ike has had more good games than bad.... No. Just no.

 

That's actually an interesting thought. The problem is we have nobody better at CB, but in the longterm he might not be a bad safety, he has the tackling ability.

 

Out of the injuries we had last night, why couldn't Ike go down as well, nothing serious just maybe a couple of high ankle sprains would do it

 

Normally I would be appalled at this kind of statement but, this time, I actually kind of agree.

 

Here's the reality. This team has not had a great corner since Rod Woodson. Ike is not great. Ike can not cover. Ike can not catch. Ike is a punk. Ike is undisciplined. Ike has pitiful technique. Ike doesn't come to play every game. Ike's horribleness has been covered by the greatness of Troy Polamalu and the great pass rush we've been able to generate in recent years. Now that it is gone you see what Ike has been all along. Deshea Townshend was better than Ike and he would come to play. Period. Thank you.

 

I agree on the drive when they scored their last td, all he had to do was let his man catch it and tackle him and its 4th down and they probably would've went for a fg, there was about 5 minutes and change to go. instead he mugs the guy like he just insulted his mother. Hes done, i want him out, i rather suffer growing pains with cortez allen and curtis brown before i see his cb skills again.

 

He is just bad.Overpaid and overhyped.This is our 1st string starting cb.That tell you alot about this team.

 

For years he has been a handicap in the secondary, he single handidly lost that game for us last night, two interference calls gave the ball to the titans deep in our territory last night, and on that last TD they were at their 20 on 3rd down and he gets a holding call that gave them a new set of downs, and then hassbeck threw 3 fade passes to britt knowing taylor couldnt cover him and eventualy they would score, ive said for years taylor was the worst starting corner in the league, and he put a stamp on it last night, never liked him as a player and never will, when we play cincy Dalton and green will eat his lunch and we will lose that game, besides we cant even stop the run anymore, put a fork in this season folks, it ended for us last night.....

 

Bench him just like Cower did...

 

It's time for him to retire to Arizona, with the rest of them.

ike,clark at safety and vandyke and tez allen at the corners, send lewis to the nickle.

 

We haven't been good in the CB position in a long time.

Ike is no exception.

 

I personally advocate sending Lewis to the browns.
