Booked my hotel room for the Steelers versus Buffalo Bills game December 15. Hoping that this is going to be a big game with a chance to make the playoffs on the line.
Now I know the way the first three games have went things aren’t looking good. But I’m going to try and remain as optimistic as possible.
Either way I’ll have a great time in the great city of Pittsburgh!

If you read this board the Steelers will be winless by then, and all the coaches need to be fired .

As I mentioned earlier I think both Cincy games, the Baltimore game at home, the Miami Indy and Bills games at home and the Cards, Jets games on the road and at least 2 of the 4 games with the Rams the 2 with the Browns home and away and Chargers games are winnable. That gets them to around 9 wins which I still think gives them a chance to win this mediocre division.

A lot will be determined in the next 13 days with these two home games with the Bengals and Ravens. If the Steelers win both of these games they are right back in the division race. They have to win both though anything less then 2-0 and things will really start to look bleak the last 11 games. The Steelers MUST win these next 2 games in the division at home or the season is probably over.

I think you’re planning on interviewing for Tomlin’s job, and that’s about the time you think he’ll be fired.

I agree with this. I see enough of a rebound to win vs. Cinci Monday, but based on yesterday’s performance I’d be pleasantly surprised if it’s not followed by another stink bomb vs. the Ravens.

I did the same December 2012 against the Browns. The team ended up being out of the playoffs but I had fun anyway.

Steelers are only 2 games out of first and it’s not exactly a juggernaut division.

I’m not sure where I am on the Ravens. Is KC THAT good or did the Ravens reveal their true selves a little bit?

I don’t believe the Steelers are as bad as their record, a couple of killer penalties in Seattle sealed their fate and another ill timed Conner fumble probably sunk them yesterday.

This is true. One or two plays from a 2-1 record does not seem so bad, does it? With the one loss to the juggernaut Pats, folks would be predicting Super Bowl if not for a few plays. Or if they watched those games, they would still be worried.

Well if nothing else it will hopefully be a good game.

Glad to see the Bills having a good start. They have some great fans, a lot of them are friends. They have gone a long time without a playoff win.
1995 I believe (Too put in retrospect as Steelers fans, that was the year we went to the Super Bowl XXX and lost)

I still say they have the curse of Doug Flutie, when he got benched for Doug Johnson that was a travesty.
Then the Titans miracle happened to them.

Both honestly. More so KC, rather Patrick Mahomes, being that good. Regarding Baltimore, they are good but clearly behind both KC and that other team in Boston.

Lamar Jackson was not very good that day. However, he did not turn the ball over though. That being said, he has to do better for them.

Sure is! Andy Reid definitely got one for certain. Most definitely his greatest coaching triumph of his career.

I would not mind seeing him hoist the Lombardi. Andy deserves it. He still has get over his playoff shortcomings first.

KC is that good and Ravens hung around. KC has a video game QB.

Take him to a Pens game for his sanity.

He was fortunate in that regard, he heaved a couple prayers up there that Baltimore somehow came down with. Still, he is much improved over last season.

As did the wife and I last year (our third trip, btw) for the Ravens' game when we stunk the joint out. :( Ah well. Stayed over at Station Square.
Love going to Pittsburgh for a game, win or lose.

Enjoy your trip, mate. I know you will.
Things look grim right now, but the way I try to see it is, in the time I've been a Steeler, they've given me way more success than failure. I guess we've been kinda "spoiled" more than most.

Oh without question Lamar is. He has gotten much better. That said, he now knows where he needs to get to to reach the next level. That being said, that next level is impossible.
