We claimed Alualu off the scrap heap and that turned out fine. I’m willing to give this kid the benefit of the doubt

Hopefully we won't have to watch Taco play at all this season, keep him on the practice squad.

They might ...I'm not sure I do. How about switch Him with , or somebody with T. Edmunds. What's He really doing besides missing tackles, and only making mop up tackles.
I know someone will show his tackles, but in the raiders game 2 times He got beat on the original tackle...only for the player having 2 slow down 2 get around from somebody else ....then He makes the tackle from behind. Everyone will say ....Well he made the tackle.....Yes , but 10-15 yards from when He 1st encountered the player.

Going to play OLB, wonder if they are expecting Hightower or Watt to miss significant time or just rounding out the rotation they are using this season.

A final stand is my guess Blast. Colbert might have golf reservations next year.

One thing became clear with Watt out last week and that was neither Highsmith or Ingram have the stamina for a full 60 min game. By late 3rd Ingram was gassed and you could see it trying to chase Carr.

I don’t know but converting DE’s to OLB’s was their bread and butter in the 90’s.

Lets hope they have the same success with Taco.

I think it will depend on his speed and quickness. If his edge rushing in a 4-3 is all power and leverage he might have a problem in the switch. If he is all around then the move could be a good thing.

Living in Dallas i can tell you this experiment will fail. This guy was terrible here. Bad attitude, Lazy and just not good. Unless we have changed our philosophy to wanting players that want to put in zero work and expect everything to still be handed to them then he will be a home run cause thats what he was here.

Will he be promoted to the roster with HighSmith and Davis out this week?

That may be true of Ingram, but I don't think fatigue was the issue for Highsmith. I think he was trying to play through the injury and the result was that he wasn't particularly effective and he kept having to come out of the game. I think the Steelers are playing the price now for having Highsmith play the first two games after suffering the groin pull in practice the week before the Buffalo game.

If Watt and Highsmith are out, then he will probably be promoted.

That could be as well. I know week 1 through to the Watt injury it looked like all 3 were benefitting from the rotation and being fresh at different times.

No doubt it helped the three of them. Restricting Ingram's snaps seems like a very good idea given his recent injury history. Unfortunately, they aren't going to be able to do that with Watt limited, at best, and Highsmith out.

Butler needs to realize the four-man rush worked so well against Buffalo because they had Watt. He can't do that crap every down with Watt and Highsmith out of the lineup.

joseph, killebrew are both guys that should be on the field more. butler has too many options and can't figure out what to do with them all. i think it confuses him.
