I dont mean to sound negative here, but this season was doomed from week 1. Im trying to be optomistic and tell myself that this is not an ugly repeat, but day after day it sure does seem like it!!

Blergh Moo ... Don't be stupid. Twice in one night, first getting drunk & driving, then being a dumbass and trying to resist arrest?

    Give me Gruden :p

I bet he'd come to Pittsburgh, and I highly doubt that he'd put up with bull**** penalties by Taylor, lame-ass play by half the defense and Young Money's dropsies over the last few games.

True, he's crazy ... but a good kind of crazy imo

Yoi and double Yoi! Unfortunatley, I am a diehard Steelers fan living in Cleveland. I will defend the Steelers against these nutty fans out here until the day I die but some things are just not defensable. Does Tomlin have any control of this team? As for the latest, cut this guy now and send a message to this team as a whole. The message should be, we don't put up with stupid!

I don't normally say to cut guys the first time they get in trouble with the law, but this wasn't a typical DUI case. This guy went so far above and beyond drinking and driving. What a moron.

    I agree, cut him now!

I think I agree with you. And I love what Ta'amu can bring to our D-line down the road. But this goes WAY BEYOND a typical DUI. That rap sheet belongs on the Bengals. We pass on Burfict because of his "issues" and then keep this guy on the roster?

    Cut him.

Its obvious a lot of these guys just don't respect him as a HC and that shows a lack of respect for the whole organization IMO ..

Not commenting on the story at all, but if we did cut him - would we notice? It's not like he's playing a bunch of downs for us.

This sounds more like a DWI, sounds like he was way more then just "under the influence". Great, and we traded up to get this dumb ass

Nope, we wouldn't notice, but he would. He's a 4th round pick that got no playing time so far, it's not like teams would be lining up to sign him. He could potentially find himself out of football for this year while he deals with his charges, which would look good on him. Make him see that he took football for granted, just like TO and Ochostinko.

Wow, here's a very detailed article from WPXI.
    From the article:

Officers issued an alert for the SUV. One officer dressed in full uniform yelled, “Police! Stop the vehicle.” That officer then said the driver, later identified as Ta’amu, swerved toward him and nearly ran him over. Two other officers also spotted the car. They drew both of their guns as the Navigator came at them, but neither of them fired “due to the large number of pedestrians and motorists on the sidewalks and roadway.”
Police say Ta’amu took a sharp turn off of East Carson Street and onto South 14th Street. There, he allegedly hit four cars as police chased him. One woman in one of those cars was hurt. As of Sunday morning, she was listed in good condition at UPMC Mercy.
The chase took another turn when police say Ta'amu hit a fifth car, totaling both vehicles. Police rantoward him, and officers say Ta'amu than sprinted away from the car. He took off his blue shirt to avoid being recognized. When police caught up to him, they told him to get on the ground and put his hands behind his back. One officer was concerned that Ta’amu was reaching for his waistband, so he punched him in the face. Police got Ta’amu, who refused medical treatment, into handcuffs and took him to jail.

I don't care if he didn't have a weapon, he deserved a punch in the face :blackeye:

Wow, it just gets worse and worse. He should be thankful the cops didn't shoot him. People with money can afford high priced lawyers and as a result often get lesser sentences than perhaps the average person would, but reading all the details and assuming they are accurate, Ta'amu is going to be spending some time in jail over this. I don't know what it's like down there, but up here in Canada, he would definitely be looking at a few years in jail. I've always believed sentences are harsher down there.
