    According to Steelers.com:
The Steelers have placed linebacker T.J. Watt on the team’s Active/PUP (Physically Unable to Perform) List to start the team’s 2019 training camp, it was announced on Thursday afternoon.

“T.J. Watt did experience some tightness in his left hamstring after the completion of the last rep (of the team’s run test on Thursday), so we may PUP him and put him on the PUP List saying that he is not available at the initial onset tomorrow morning,” Coach Mike Tomlin said on Thursday afternoon. “He may be on for a very short period of time. We are evaluating that as we speak.

“Again, he was able to complete the test, he just expressed some tightness there at the end, so we will do what is appropriate from that stand point.”

Doesn't seem serious but not a great start.

I'd rather them take precautions at the outset than have him practice three days and have it linger through to the opener.

Was on there last year the same if I recall. He did play 16 games though. Missed all but one Preseason game.

Here is hoping for a speedy recovery. At the absolute worst, at least the hamstring is not torn.

I think it's more precautionary and not likely an issue and as AskQuestionsLater pointed out he had some difficulties earlier in the year last year. Hopefully this is not a nagging thing for him. We need him bad. Without TJ we decline rapidly.

I am all for staying on the safe side with that. He doesn't need to pull it doing some work in shorts n shoulder pads.

I guess I do have questions of how conditioned these athletes are ?
And since they only have football to worry about why aren't they conditioned better?
C'mon men you are paid exceptionally well to be on the field competing.

I think TJ is fine. Dude can be missing a leg and still be better than most our linebackers.

i remember doing the endurance test our first day in camp in college. No matter how much I ran that summer, it still kicked my butt. The physical aspect is similar to the training but its the mental side that adds to the difficulty. The pressure of day one in camp, the competitiveness, everyone watching you test. I have no doubt TJ was in shape, I bet he just pushed himself a little too hard on that test.

This only happens to the Steelers and Tomlin, the laughing stock of the league.
The coaches for the other teams know how to prevent any injuries from happening during the preseason.
