They have 21 days to decide what to do with him. I just don’t see who goes in order to activate him. My guess would be Fort or is it Johnson I forget who’s turn it is to be on the team.

I can’t see them dropping a linebacker for Sutton. It would leave us way too thin. The only obvious choice would be Allen.

That depends entirely on Bryant. Any idea how much Sensabaugh(sp?) has been playing on special teams?

Like you said, they have 21 days and very well may use most of it. A lot in the form of injuries can happen in that much time.

Allen isn’t going anywhere. Too young and too much potential to expose.

I don't believe a whole lot but I could be mistaken on that.

I just figured at worst, Bryant will give you what Hunter does now, nothing and at best, could be a whole lot as we've seen before.

I agree wholeheartedly on Allen. I would hate to lose him. I just don’t see any other easy cuts.

We are a significantly better team with a 2015 Bryant than a 2017 Hunter. Hopefully someone that Bryant respects has been in his ear about his messed up attitude.

Sensabaugh would probably be the one to go considering I keep forgetting about him lol.

Also Sutton returning removes Brown from fielding punts again.

I just checked the snap counts on Steelers Depot and neither Allen or Sensabaugh have played any defensive snaps. Both of them have been playing on special teams. With Allen getting about 6 snaps per game and Sensabaugh a little under twice that number.

Do they have to activate him in order to practice? Also my money is on Big Dan getting cut.Tyson, LT and Hargrave have been solid.

    Coty or Hunter.

Either or is gone would be my guess.

Just some random thoughts ....Could they possibly cut Moats to make room....maybe that's why they have been saving Harrison. Now he only has half the season left to play so in essence they saved him until now especially with the bye too. Could be Sensabaugh but it would leave them with no veteran depth on the outside should one of the starters get hurt (Haden/ Burns) don't think W. Gay is a replacement anymore.
Could always be Fort but like others say would leave us thin...
Can we forget the Hunter experiment and consider bringing Ayers back especially with Rogers struggling...
I would like to see Sutton activated but they may not even choose to.....I think he could /should get a look as PR and he was supposedly having a real solid camp in the secondary ....very cerebral player....
They got 21 days and injury may or will dictate the eventual outcome.....

Moats is so big in the community programs and all the Steelers outreach stuff that I think it presents a huge public image gamble to cut him. So I think it comes down to Hunter, one of the DB's or possibly DL. I had said Grimble before but injuries to Mac forced him into the lineup

Eventually he should play in Gay's place in the dime package. But I'm not sure they want to put a rookie in that spot this year. For sure next year.

or....cut Rogers and bring Ayers back.

I was on record saying trade Rogers instead of Coates... I would not have drafted Ju Ju...because I thought they just handed the slot to Rogers the year before....but as camp wore on I saw no reason to keep Rogers...Ju Ju was better than him day 1. I would have traded Rogers and a mid rounder to Carolina for Kelvin Benjamin. He is not the agile speedster the Steelers lean to...but he is a different beast....and would could have helped 3rd downs and redzone instantly with that size.

It makes sense to cut a cornerback. I think it will be Sensebaugh. Of course, part of that depends on whether or not they feel comfortable with Sutton getting some third or fourth corner reps on defense this year.

Benjamin is truly a beast in the redzone and out-jumps while going up strong for the ball.

I had higher hopes for Rogers too.....but it seems he is always having to be taught a lesson from Tomlin for one reason or another. That being said I would still rather get rid of Hunter, this way you still have Rogers for the slot need be and Ayers can play both in and out. You and I both know it's not gonna happen...it usually takes at least a couple weeks for them to listen to what we are saying here....this time it probably won't sink in until the offseason.....:smiley1:

Gay is still too good to move him off the field all together. We need his experience back there.
