It’s crappy to not be able to see what this game could have been with a healthy Gurley. That’s the breaks I guess?

So what is Doug pederson? With a far less talented team than the rams, belichick had no answer vs his offense with virtually the exact same defense they had this yr.

The pressure rattled him. They couldn't get the run game going so NE made them one dimensional. He had plenty of open looks and opportunities that he missed. He has yet to be able to read defenses. I was far more impressed with mahomes than him.

I'd put them both in the very good to great category.

Pederson is far better than mcvay. He didnt have nearly the talent mcvay had and belichick with virtually the same defense had NO answer doe his offense which was being run by a backup qb.

OL was terrible and Gurley wasn't involved enough. In a game that close Gurley has that big play ability,CJ doesn't. I think Mcvay failed like you said with adjustments and not using Gurley. It was obvious NE was trying to control the middle of the field and the adjustments came slow and too late. .
Mcvay is a good coach but didn't coach a good game.

QB play. Foles played a great game, Goff did not. That simple.

You going to pretend that holding the Pats to 13 points isnt a great coaching job?

Mcvay has ZERO to do with the defense. That is all wade Phillip's who before has shut Brady and co down. The rams defense played excellent. Foles did play unbelievable but the play calling by Doug pederson in that game was phenomenal. He was also highly aggressive. Remember philly philly? Who designed that?

Well we can't claim the best franchise anymore.

I disagree. They just have had the greatest dynasty. Our success spans over several years with different coaches and players. Not just one tenure. Would you consider the Chicago bulls a great franchise just because they had Michael jordan?

I'll give you that, Wade Phillips.

Still ridiculous to downplay a coach that took his team to the SB in 2 years.

No Gurley seriously hurt the Rams ability to move the football.

You know what I did some what overreact but I'll still take pederson over him. I'd take Pederson over everyone except belichick. He didnt call his best game but Goff was just awful. Maybe the worst sb display by a qb ever based on the talent he had and the circumstances surrounding him. And sad part is I dont think he has the mental makeup to recover from it.

Rams sure could have used a top flight receiver.

Possible trade partner? Their 31st for AB? I would want another rd but problem is, they are a terrible trade partner, next pick isn't until the 4th. I don't like the 31st pick but maybe they could package the 20th and 31st to move up.

I'll grant him greatest of the 21st century.

GOAT? No friggin way. Put him on a 70s team and he doesn't last one season.

Conversely, put Marino, Montana, Moon, Fouts, Staubach, Bradshaw, etc, etc, etc, in today's wussified, give the offense every advantage possible, can't hit the receiver hard, can't even touch the QB game, and they rewrite the record books.

Should have been the Saints. Most boring Superbowl ever and the Pats naturally win again.
