I was rooting for the Chiefs, I wanted Andy Reid to get his SB win.

Andrew Philoponi read my mind before I could think to post it on this board. Did you see that formation where the Chiefs whole offense spun around and caught the 49ers off guard to pick up the 4th down?
Does anybody honestly think Finchtner is capable of coming up with something like that? I don't.

And on the defensive side, Andy Reid sought out Steve Spagnolo because he had a history beating the Pats with the Giants. Why didn't Tomlin do that? Why are we forever stuck on this Dom Capers / Lebeau coaching tree with Dagnabit Keith Butler?

It's pathetic this minor league coaching staff the Steelers have.

I'm happy for Andy, but the 49er's
    absolutely outplayed them
    The best team lost

I’d rather the Steelers be terrible and win a super bowl then

Didn't say Chiefs were terrible, just thought they got outplayed. The final score is all that matters though. That said, I made out pretty well betting Mahomes under 299.5 yards passing, and under 53.5 points

He had all of 66 yards before that 38 yard run to seal it. (1:12 left on the clock when that happened up by 4) Also, someone had to break the pocket and get that ball to him for the air TD. Probably shouldn't have been as close of a call as it was either though. He also, had a fumble that they recovered as well.

I was right there with you IMO he has earned this and has been so close so many years. Also I wanted KC cause the room of six rings already had one to many teams in it....lol!

Me too and was getting pissed that the people with 0-0 in the "pools" were gonna win 3 quarters......and I didn't have 0-0 in any of my 14 squares, lol.

What are you talking about Fichtner has the whole offense spinning around. Problem is they fall down after...

Never snooze on Mahomes. The kid is special. The KC defense took over the 4th quarter and Jimmy G got a face full of hurt. Love it.

Mahomes is part of the new wave.

We hang on hoping an aging bloated injured QB with his surgically repaired throwing arm can respond and come back. With a monster contract to boot.

Off season starts. March is right around the corner.

I'm not at all sure the Niners outplayed the Chiefs. Hard to say that when you get outscored 20-0 in the 4th.

Regardless, this game came down Mahomes being a better QB than Garappalo. At the end of the day its a QB league and one team had a QB who came through when they had to lean on him and another team who had a QB that couldn't do the same when they needed him.

Same thing I told my son.

When was the last time a defensive lineman won MVP? I'm sure it's been a while.

That aging bloated QB still gives the team the best chance to win, we saw the offense with Duck/Mason struggle to score 10 points a game .

Don’t know who watched long enough after the game, but this is KC LB Dorian O’Daniel’s uncle on the field after the game flying the Steelers colors

He did but the question was when was the last time a d-lineman won the MVP. The last defensive player to win the MVP was Von Miller against the Panthers.

I knew it had been a while but 35 years was not what I expected.
