It can't be 3. I did the math, and the change in temp would only possibly change pressure .2 or .3 psi. I just read that it would have had to been -15 for such a drastic pressure decrease to be possible.

The NFL says that the balls were checked according to protocol before the game. So, it sure quacks like a duck...

Well if they were messing with balls during the game a camera somewhere will have caught it. If the math for 3 doesn't work out then I suspect number 2 and the refs are hardly going to acknowledge that they took a short cut examining balls.

It didn't have to be during the game. The team gets the game balls back in a big ball bag a little while before the game starts.

    Sadly you are probably right.

Someone, the ball boy or some low level employee, will come forward and fall on the sword to cover for Belicheat and or Brady. And the leagues love of the Pastries (and Krafts power) will preclude them from taking any serious action.

Considering the circumstances I think the guy should be banned forever. But realizing that that probably wont happen, I think a 1 year suspension, a massive personal and team fine, and multiple loss of 1st round picks should be the call.

My reason? This is now the second time this guy has been caught cheating. Granted this isn't as bad as the first, but given BB and the teams attitude of thumbing their noses at the league on something as serious as the integrity of the game, I think they need to bust their asses very hard.

Let's see; older quarterback in the rain with a new center. And only the Patriots balls were deflated, unlike the Colts Game balls. Yeah... Second time you cheated and got caught. I guess after getting no rings after spy gate you gotta find a new advantage...

This isn't good for the Seahawks. Every Pat is now on a personal mission to destroy them. The normal Seahawk intimidation factor is totally erased. I thought we would see a close game. I'm thinking a Pat blowout now.

I've also said this benefits the Pats. They just love it when they feel like they have something to prove. I really won't be surprised though if the seahawks pick Brady off and then do some kind of gesture about trying to make sure the ball is full inflated or something like that. Remember in 07 when Terrell Owens scored a td and hid behind the goal post and acted like he was filming. I could see them doing something along those lines.

The Pats don't have blowouts in the SB, they rely on their kicker's foot. I can see this as a way for the Seahawks to squawk even louder (especially Sherman) that the Pats are bigger cheaters. I think the 'Hawks spank the cheaters, 2 picks for Sherman, 180 yds and 2 crotch grabs for Lynch and a 2 hour rant from Giselle against Pretty Boy's teammates.

....aaaaaand they were on a personal mission in '08 to destroy the scrutiny over Spygate. How did that work out again?

    SeaChickens roll.

I'm looking forward to this game more than any other SB since we played GB. That well oiled machine known as the Pats that rarely make mistakes vs the legion of boom. I'm stoked!

Anyone watch Brady's press conference today? He denied any knowledge. So, clearly the balls were deflated, yet both Bellichick and Brady knew nothing? Riiiiight.... I already hated the Pats. This just fuels the fire.

Well, I always root against the Pats (unless they are playing Baltimore) and Russell Wilson is from Richmond, VA so I guess I will be a Seahawks fan tonight, grudgingly. I can't stand Lynch or Sherman.

I did not care who won but leaned toward seattle just cause I hate the cheats more. I was trying to get to seattles message board to see if they blamed the refs again. Anyone know how to get there?

I will admit I guess I was wrong. This was an entertaining game, and not the blowout I thought it would be.
Kudos to Pete Carrol for giving Belicheck and Brady SB #4
