Best way to sum it up is a great line from the movie "Patton". There's a scene where the general asks a private why he was laying down on the floor of the HQ building and the private responded "I was sleeping sir". Patton then tells the private to lay back down because he was the only SOB there that actually knew what he was trying to do. Suisham is that private for us this year. He knows what he's supposed to do and he's done it consistently in every game to this point. Keep giving'em hell Swishy !

I wouldn't go that far... I still think Ben is our MVP (even yesterday, when nobody else on offense wanted to help him out). However, Suisham has been amazing. When we signed him I was not a fan at all, but man was I wrong.

He has a chance at the pro bowl this season. I don't know what his contract situation is but he deserves an extension.

He used to scare me to death when he took the field, but he has been our only CONSISTENT bright spot this year.:frustrated:

according to this forum then, how is a kicker ever supposed to be MVP? The guy has won games, inside and outside the 45. He's make 99% of his kicks and has been a cool operator doing it. Even in the wind. During a year when we are 7-6, offense AND defense has fallen on their faces, and even the coaches are muddling things up horribly, this guy IS the shining consistent light on this football team per his job.

Goes to show what kind of year it has been that our MVP is a kicker. Funny, because I was watching some S!@#ty team a few weeks ago (don't remember who) and their kicker had a "C" patch on his uniform and I told my son, "you know your team is bad when your kicker is a team captain"

Agree completely Wreck. Per the previous poster Ben's had a pretty good year so far but the fact is Suisham has been CONSISTENTLY better at his job than anyone else on the team has been at theirs so far. A kicker being your MVP might not say much about how the rest of the team is playing but it is what it is.

My answer is they can't. Unless you have a very very bad team.

I'm not taking anything away from Suisham but to say he's been more valuable than Ben this season is simply not true.

I beg to differ with you. I don't know about more valuable but certainly equal this year. Ben's putting us in position to attempt those kicks and Suisham's delivering the points / victory. If Ben gets the trophy he should split it down the middle and hand half of it to Suisham.
