Stop whining Ike!

What the hell is he wearing a Steel Curtain T shirt for. He is not even in the same league as the guys that were the Steel Curtain.

 

Heath Miller "gets" what it means to be a Steeler I think. I consider him a "true" Steeler. But if all the posers on this team wanna know what it means to be a true and consumate pro they should look at Heath Miller. He doesn't run his mouth. He just shows up and does his job. He rarely drops passes and I can never think of a time where Heath just flat out didn't "show up". I'm not a betting man but if I were going to bet on who Ben feels like the needs the most it would be Heath by a landslide. I really think Heath is just a good guy all the way around and I hope that my son will try and emulate him if he is gonna really be in to sports.

 

When he said they give up 295 yards per game, he meant he alone gives up 295 yards to the WR he is covering every game right?

 

Don't say I didn't warn all of you! He needs to be moved to safety as soon as possible.

 

He needs some White Men can't Jump type a talking to.....You guys remembe the first BB ball game I think it was were the Big guy kept telling Wesley Snipes...Take me to the whole then you can talk...Shut me down then you can talk....I can't remeber it all ,,but the video reminds me off that scene....Ike running off at the Mouth and he has done nothing to back it up...

Maybe he has a Wesley Snipes type turn around coming ,,,well he better get to it before we all change the channel...

 

The Steelers are only giving up 295 yds/game because their offense is dominating time of possession 34/26. If it were closer to a 50/50 split, we'd be one of the worst D in the league. They fail the eye test and that's all that is needed.

 

Agreed, the eye test tells more than any stat could ever tell. Sure, luck is involved and a team can win despite looking bad, but long term, teams that look good will usually win, and teams that look bad will usually lose, and we look beyond bad, especially on defence. Our offence doesn't look great either, but at least certain parts of our offence looks good and at times great.

If we could ever get our Oline fixed, our offence could be one of those top 5 offences every year. We have the talent, although I still believe that Brown, Wallace and Sanders aren't the solution, we desperately need a big possession WR like Bowe.

 

As has been evident for the past 5 years, the fans seem to be the only ones holding players accountable for poor performance. Tomlin and Co, not so much. Keep up the good work Ike, if you cant cover em hold em, maybe this positive reinforcement will make you feel better. The bright spot in all of this disappointing season is that Tomlin still has alittle time to put the NFL on notice that he plans to unleash hell Part II.

 

I can't believe I forgot about Heath! I agree completely.
He does so much good for us and is so quiet I forget sometimes. He's a godsend for this team and as I've demonstrated, can be overlooked at times.

Ike has been in denial for years and some on this board.He look worst then last season,but what bothers me more then that is that we have no one to unseat him.

 

PFF ranks 100 CB and IKE is 96th and K. Lewis is 91st, I know there are all kinds of stupid rankings but this tells you that it isn't only the Steelers fans that see this problem with the secondary. This scares me for a few reasons, the biggest ones are that if others see how bad they are that means that A.) There isn't anyone on the bench who is better so they stick with what they have. Or B.) The coaches really aren't paying that much attention and could care less. Or C.) They don't think it is as bad as we fans believe it is. I'm not a mind reader but based on the CB rankings and the comments Tomlin made about Taylor I would bet the answer is A. They don't have any alternatives on the bench right now. I think this were the D=Line's poor play comes into the equation, when you see Taylor and Clark making a lot of tackles on running plays it is a clear sign that your linemen are getting beat on a regular basis and everytime DL trys to help the secondary by playing cover 2 the D-Line gets exposed and gives up big run after big run, bring the safties up and we then get torched through the air and that is what killed us against the Titans and the Raiders. If you look at the wild card loss to Denver, we had to completely sell out for the run as the coaches know the dline play is poor, they have to know otherwise why would you put 9 guys in the box every play and leave Ike in man to man every single play. Tebow complete 10 passes for 316 yards, an average of 31.6 yards per pass, that is absolutely insane and I would throw that in Ike's face everytime he opened his mouth, how do you give up 316 yards passing with only 10 completions, you only give that up by getting torched time and time again. Ike needs to shut up and do his job or get off the field and let someone more capable take hisplace. BTW I say this is K.Lewis' last season as a Steeler, he took 3 seasons to learn the D and gets on the field and stinks not only in coverage but he can't tackle to well either.

 

Why does this scrub even have a radio show?

 

Not a surprise. Ike has never come across as a particularly bright guy.
