Larry Bird once said something to that effect when looking up at all the banners in the Garden.

Your avatar makes this old man long to be young again.

I am convinced that making strides to improve start with a new Head Coach. The window is still open, but Tomlin seems dead set on trying to close it.

I hope the Browns feel the same way. Good to hear from an actual Browns fan this week. Good luck Sunday! We are united in hate for the Ravens. :ratssuck:

Resting your starters if guaranteed your in the playoffs and seeding is all set makes all the sense in the world but to do it on week 17 just to hurt another team chances is a huge rip off for the NFL fan base. Why would you rest players to avoid injuries in week 17, they have the off season to get right and you would once again rip off the people who pay so they can make those huge salaries.

I have a friend who flew in to see the eagles for week 17. His family planned it for years. That day the eagles had their playoff seed sown up and he saw the second stringers get beat. Was not a happy camper. Although if Steelers were in that position I'd want the starters rested. The flex scheduling has screwed up people's plans but not to that degree.

Agree. Big difference between "most NFL fans" and "Browns fans". They've been waiting for a winning season for 11 years. I would think the coaches would be monumentally stupid to rest their starters and not go for broke to get a win this weekend.

Of course, we are taking about the Browns here, so anything is possible.

I honestly do not see this happening, and have been listening all week to the local sports shows, and have heard nothing of sitting the starters.

It's going to be a tough game, but I really feel the boys really want to prove that they are not the Browns of old.

I wish you guys luck this weekend! I really think we might help you out this weekend. Oh, and kill the Bungals. I hate them.

Also, Baker needs three td's to break Peyton's rookie td record. It's going to be on.

I work with a die hard Browns fan. I asked him about it, and he said it's a no brainer for him. He hates the Ravens WAY MORE than the Steelers. He still wishes Art Modell died a slow, painful death.

I bet that most NFL fans want to see the Browns win this game. People love the underdog & will root for the Browns to finally shed their woefull image.

Williams wants this win, and I think the players want it for him. It would be hard for Haslem and company not to make him the HC next year after turning Hue's dumpster fire squad into a winning outfit. Imagine the PR nightmare Cleveland would have letting go of the coach who led them to their first winning record in over a decade to hire another potential Jackson and see the team finish with a losing record again next season. I live in the Cleveland area, and I think fan sentiment is on his side. A win on Sunday lands Williams the gig, IMO.

All that being said, my mind still tells me the Ravens win. They're the best team in the division right now, and they'll be playing just as hard on their home field. The Browns will give them a fight, but the Steelers will likely be watching the playoffs with the rest of us.
