What? The Patriots have always been a running team and have always had a strong running game. That's why so many of their RB's post very good numbers every single year.

No, why the hell would we do that? Facts just get in the way of a good story. Let's just look at his one run where he ran hard and assume that he wouldn't have fumbled against the Broncos and use that as a reason to fire Tomlin. THATS a better story.

Somebody with experience. 1 game started in 3 years isn't experience.

No, they aren't. They go 5 wide all game. Running back is a revolving door with them. They cut them for being late to regular season practice.

Over a decade of torment and being the victim of their cheating tactics. Kordell Da Gawd never got the SB he deserved because of those cheaters and the heartbreak of that loss made him consider his own sex. Ben should have more SB's than Brady and considered the best in the league.

This years Patriots team was finally beatable and who knows when that will happen ever again.

But hey! Keep ignoring the running back position and limping into the playoffs with a running back with 0 experience. Everybody else in the league heading into the playoffs signed a veteran for a reason and none of them lost because of their running backs.

I would've been fine with us signing Steven Jackson.
The point is, you keep babbling about FT'a fumble against the Broncos. Signing a veteran running back with experience doesn't guarantee that a fumble won't happen.
    That's the point I'm making.

No not a unicorn but there is a non-fumbling veteran on the wing of this plane. You gotta believe me!

Wonder how well he handled the blitz pick-ups with Brady on the ground 4 1/2 times and hit more?

Last year there was a legitimate ***** about how the Steelers handled the depth (or lack of) at the running back position. This past offseason they did a great job by going out and signing a quality veteran, skill wise who is also a quality individual and teammate. The fact that both the All Pro starter and quality back up were lost due to injury is just ****ty luck.

If you are bitching about how they handled things last year, you've got a point. If you are bitching about how they handled it this year, you're just an ass.

He wouldn't have had to go through such elaborate measures if only the Steelers had started Taji Boyd. I mean Boyd could hit the broadside of the USS Ronald Reagen from the right hash mark at the South Pointe practice facility and still tuck it in AB back pocket like he was planning to shoplift from Kmart. Biyd wouldn't have fumbled he'd have knocked the whole Broncos defense out.

Sorry the green font just wouldn't stick to that pile of melting chocolate ice cream:poopy:

You realize Bell was ruled out for the season half way in, right? They had almost 2 months until the playoffs to find a back-up for the back-up and get him worked into the offense. Yes, they did a good job of finding a quality veteran back but he wasn't expecting to play all these games especially with Bells suspension. Bell only played 5 games. So that means the veteran back who was expecting to play 2 games and here and there was forced to play 10-11. He was bound to get hurt. Even I saw it coming and that's why I'm so mad. How could I see it happening and the coach couldn't. They didn't even work in Toussaint and Todman and get them in game experience. Instead they limped into the playoffs with a running back with 0 experience. What exactly is different from last year? What exactly deserves praise? They had plenty of time to prepare for this and didn't. I guess it's the Tomlin way to run your starting running back into the ground.
