What How? You expected the offense to score with like 50 seconds left? We just got lucky on the JUJU play. Our defense let ONE GUY EMBARASS them the whole 4th quarter. We knew the ball was going to gronk and still couldn't stop him nor did we even get close to Brady.

Because of a FREAK PLAY. the only reason they got to the goaline was because of a blown coverage and JUJU taking the ball like 80 yards. You act like the conditionally drove all the way down and scored. And you keep pointing to ne. Where was he vs jax? That game was far more important than the ne game...

The NE game was more important because if they win that game they get the #1 seed, and guess what they wouldn't play Jax they would play the Titans instead .

So we would have gotten one more game then lose to the Jagoffs???? That game didn't mean crap unless we lost to the Pats in NE, we lost to the Jagoffs at home.....

The game would've played out differently maybe Ben doesn't hand them 14 points in the first half .

No it's the truth, if the Steelers faced the Jags at all later in the playoffs the game would play out differently.

That game had less to do with JJs catch/non catch or Ben's goal line int... And more so to do with an ok D performance that pissed down their legs in the second half when Gronk got going. They should've won and won fairly nicely the way the game was going prior to conservative calling and non adjustments. That's it.

Had they won, does that guarantee anything? Nope... Could've very well easily lost the next couple and ended up right where they were anyhow. So the low hanging fruit thing don't matter anymore. They could've won but they didn't. They could've been the number 1 seed but we're not. They could have beat Jax at home with home field advantage but didn't and... That's where the wouldve coulds end because that's how it was.

Well of course every game would play out different but it wasn't like the Pats game caused us to play in FLA, we still played at home vs the same team. The Jagoffs beat us twice AT HOME IN THE SAME SEASON........

Yeah and Ben had 7 turnovers in those 2 games, it's hard to win games when you lose the turnover battle .

So what does that mean that has nothing to do with it you said the offense lost the Pats game they did not the Defense did.

Again your bringing up things that have nothing to do with it. The Pats game had nothing to do with us losing to the Jagoffs. Not sure where turnovers had anything to do with it......your all over the place here. :smiley1:

Dont know about that. Held them to 27 points, 16 through 3 qtrs. Need to score more than 24 points to beat NE.

Defense came to play that game.

So with less than 2 min left and the lead the Cheats had the ball 70 yards away and we are going to blame the offense for the loss?

    Blame coaching if you want.

2 minutes is a lifetime for Brady, he does that to everyone, its why you need more than 24 points to beat them.

I didn't blame either I do blame the coaching another poster wanted to blame the offense(which makes sense in a Bell thread) imo you blame the D not the O.

Meh. Hold NE to 27 points, you did a good job, especially this secondary against Brady.

They didn't get it done on the last drive but that doesn't negate a good game by them overall.

The vaunted O put up 24 points. That's a fail. Even negating the James TD, everything that happened after that was fubar. They still should have put it in the endzone.

The point is if the Steelers beat the Pats, they wouldn't play the Jags that first game . How can you say the turnovers didn't have anything to do with the 2 losses to the Jags .

The point is I think we hit our peak and we will be falling lol. Too many good AFC teams. Jax, NE, Houston, Cle, Ten, Raiders, Chargers, Broncos, Chiefs, lol
