He was just saying that "there are no moral victories" but how "close" they were to winning and their penalties and stuff. The media was obviously getting under his skin.

 

Well for starters ... they had thrown the ball 2 downs earlier ... and then they threw it again right after the shot into the endzone.

So that is 3 passes on 4 plays. If Haley didn't want Ben throwing it, I would imagine that he would have made use of the speaker in Ben's helmet at some point.

I didn't notice the penalties being particularly bad for either side.

This is exactly why, for all it's infuriating, I prefer Tomlin to treat the presser like the silliness that it is, rather than go out and complain that they should have won.

 

They got penalized 4 times for 20 yards! I'll take that every week.

I think he was speaking more to the actual "moments" in which they occurred. They kept drives going and things like that. I didn't feel like either team was really over penalized. I DID feel like there were some missed calls for sure! If not for them blowing the whistle on Spence he would have had a td.

 

Yeah, I was pretty ticked about that one. It ended up not mattering, but still....
