Steelers vs Seahawks Gameday Thread

I know we're going to get coach cliché but I'd love for him to show some emotion and call out the one sided officiating.

Don't hold your breath. He should certainly call out the "catch" rules though. I mean dude. There are no words.

In AB's defense, he was mugged illegally by Sherman all day, but the refs allowed it for some reason.

 

DeAngelo Williams is one of my all-time favorite Steelers. God, he's great. Great player, great locker room guy. Played a great game today, that wasn't lost in all the hate for the defense.

 

I agree. I don't consider us a talented team at all. As a matter of fact, I'd be surprised if we send a single defender to the pro bowl. We're ranked 28th against the pass.

 

I agree. Sometimes I'm frustrated, other times sad, occasionally irritated. Tonight, I'm downright angry.

 

Would have liked to see one of those ACME Anvils fall on his head...

 

No kidding, wheaton making a perfect catch isn't a catch but the db losing the ball after dual possession through the ground goes to the defense. It's like all the bad calls that ever went against Seattle were made up for in this one game.

 

That's why you don't give away wins like they did vs Cincy, Balt and KC.

 

The stupid fake Fg early in the first half changed this game. Just too risky to have a backup QB throwing to a offensive lineman. Kick the FG and go up 6-0. Just too many dumb plays in this game.

They're not winning out and KC has an easy schedule and owns the HTH tiebreaker and group tiebreaker if it ends up with a multiple team tie, so the Steelers have to be 1 game better with a much more difficult schedule. It's not happening.

 

Agreed. It's easier for me to accept a loss when we're outplayed than when you can account for a lot of the other teams success through the officiating.

 

Ya know I really feel like I need to quit emotionally investing in games. At least in the ones I expect us to lose. I honestly believed we would lose today but I still managed to get mad. It's just something I've always done in sports really.

The secondary has sucked for years. The dick lebeau/keith butler blitz all the time strategy doesn't work against a decent quarterback (go see what tom brady does to the steelers). It might work if you had a secondary, but we've had secondary defenders that can't cover and can't tackle. What makes it most frustrating is that this is not a new problem, several of these guys have been around for years. I'm old enough to remember the 1970s, they'd all be cut a long time ago. It is a shame because the offense is very good.

 

Bingo. Despite the officiating, if the Steelers just don't make the stupid plays they did they win by 14 pts.

 

to be fair, the passing worked.. record yards passing and 30+ pts should beat any team if the defense is half competent. turnovers hurt, obviously.. but we couldn't get a stop to save our lives.

 

I Said lst off season this season was gona tell us what kind of coach Tomlin is/was and as of today im not impressed one damn bit.
