    The reason it's a spot foul, and not 10-15 yards is because then there's no reason not to blatantly interfere on long passes if you're beat.

    I don't like it, but that's the reason. And some teams (cough: Ravens) abuse it. It's HIGH time that those types of penalties can be A: challenged, and B: allow the refs to have degrees.

    We have 2 types of facemask penalties. One for incidental, and one for blatant. The same should be true for PI.

    Man THAT'S WHAT WE NEED! But Kiesel HAS TO WRAP HIM UP!!! Where is the fundamental D??? I'm glad for the pick and it's probably better that he missed the sack but still we gotta get him to the ground! That was pathetic!

    If a DB is running beside a WR he'll be given a lot of leaway and will get away with a lot of clutching and grabbing. If a DB is trailing the WR and reaches out and grabs him, it's going to be called every time. Allen has been trailing twice now. Once he made a great play and went up and got the ball. The second time he reached out and grabbed Smith. It's an easy penalty to call. Perhaps he should stick with Smith and he'll get away with some physical play
